Laetitia | 69 comments The book is really delightfully deep :). You should read it.

message 6: by Cass (new)

Cass (cassiem99) My favourite book of all time. I love all John Green's books but this takes the cake. Definitely something you should read.

message 7: by Leah (new)

Leah (leahbene) The best book ever! Even though I wanted to through it across the room when I finished it. I don't. really read realistic fiction that much but if John Green writes it, then it'll be the first on my top read list

message 8: by ryan ⚡︎ (new)

ryan ⚡︎ (ryanbada) This is one of the books that could make this a great hit. Also the movie is going to be next year. So far to watch the movie.

message 9: by Olivia (new)

Olivia | 3 comments It is absolutely amazing. In this case believe the hype

message 10: by Neha (new)

Neha (shearglacier) I seriously cried a tear or two because of that book, but I still loved it!!!! I mean who wouldn't?

message 11: by Francesca (new)

Francesca Caruso | 53 comments The book was so good!! I don't really like the casting though for the movie :/

message 12: by ryan ⚡︎ (new)

ryan ⚡︎ (ryanbada) I know. I don't know why they pick Shailene Woodley as Hazel. I mean why!!! But from away the casting, there's lots of treasure in that book just because where tears were dropped into this book.

message 13: by Neha (new)

Neha (shearglacier) Ikr, she is from that really bad show called The Secret Life of an American Teenager. Why would u pick her and she's starring as Beatrice or whatever she name is in Divergent

message 14: by ryan ⚡︎ (new)

ryan ⚡︎ (ryanbada) Well I never watch that show but you did you got the character of Divergent right

message 15: by Estefania (new)

Estefania Montanez | 144 comments I actually really like the casting! She's a good actress! That's all the really matters! As long as she gets Hazels character down, she's all good!

message 16: by Bria (new)

Bria Baptiste | 4 comments I love this book but it left me in a saddened state for a about a week because Augustus passed away. But as far as the movie is concerned I am really excited!

message 17: by Emma (new)

Emma You should probably use spoiler html.

message 18: by Trey (new)

Trey | 2 comments I think that this book was wonderful. It was so well-written; I normally get very annoyed with the main characters, but I absolutely loved Augustus (I know that he's not the MAIN character, but he is one of the main characters) and I only got slightly annoyed with Hazel haha.
I think that the casting is very good so far for the movie.

message 19: by chloe (new)

chloe I loved this book! I'm not too excited about the cast. I think the movie will be pretty good though.

message 20: by A (new)

A H It's a beautiful book!! Anyone who hasn't read it should pick it up now and start reading!! It was such a wonderful experience....this book, so though-provoking, full of emotions and SO touching....This is not just book....it's an experience. Try it!! And I loved Augustus Waters!!

message 21: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Graf I hate that show too, but John Green especially like her in the part of Hazel. And she seems good in the previews for Divergent, so just give her a chance.

message 22: by Hannah (new)

Hannah Withers (hannahwithers) | 195 comments I honestly loved this book but it wasn't my favorite john green..

message 23: by Wendy (new)

Wendy Mills | 1 comments I enjoyed the book a lot (I cried, oh how I cried), but I'm hesitant to see the movie. I always am. Sometimes the characters are as good or better than how I envisioned them in my head, but sometimes the movie will ruin a book for me.

message 24: by Ana (last edited Jan 14, 2015 01:08PM) (new)

Ana | 12 comments I honestly hate when people say they don't like it because its overrated. Sure the book sold a lot, but it's not one of those books (twilight, fifty shades) that hits the sales and it's awful. It's amazingly insightful and beautifully poignant.

message 25: by Kerry (new)

Kerry (kerrykathleen2) | 164 comments It was a good read and I enjoyed the story(and cried) but as usual it us another boom thatwas over-hyped. If I knew Hazel and Gus in real life as real people I wouldn't be able to take them seriously as they act like english scholars with the type of language they use! I know the look was to be clever unique teenagers, but a very few amount of real teenagers ever talk in that way?? I did like the characters over than that!

message 26: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (to-whatever-end) I hate to be the odd one out, but I didn't love this book. Yeah, it was good and the prose was beautiful, but it didn't seem to me like a teenager would talk or think like that. It just didn't seem very realistic. I also ended up lending it to two of my closest friends to see if they might enjoy it. They're both survivors of serious cancers and they both told me that the book was unrealistic in that area as well. Maybe other people who've had direct or indirect experiences with cancer, terminal or otherwise, would disagree, but that's their opinions. I'm not trying to bash anyone for liking it, we all have different book interests. I just wanted to share my opinion.

message 27: by Kat (new)

Kat | 387 comments I've seen the movie. It was ok.

Diana Maria (Didaa) (dianamariadidaa) | 5 comments This is for sure my favorite book ! <3 And i loved the movie too. I cried so much when i read the book and also when i saw the movie ! Really an amazing book! :)

olivia mandola (oliviamandola) I did not love this book like everyone else did. Everyone in my school became obsessed over it, and my friend agrees that it`s because all the people in my school who loved it had never read a good book in their lives. It wasn`t a terrible book, I just wasn`t a big fan of it. Also, I feel like I`m so used to fictional books like The Mortal Instruments and Percy Jackson that realistic fiction was kind of boring for me.
