Leslie | 16369 comments I have only read a few, as I don't read much nonfiction, but I have seen a few more as movies and PBS/BBC shows...

These I have read:
Desert Solitaire by Edward Abbey
Roughing It by Mark Twain
Kon-Tiki: Across the Pacific by Raft by Thor Heyerdahl
The Perfect Storm: A True Story of Men Against the Sea by Sebastian Junger
My First Summer in the Sierra by John Muir
and I think that I might have read Alive: The Story of the Andes Survivors back in the 1970s but am not sure.

I have Tracks by Robyn Davidson on my shelf waiting to be read.

And I have met one of these authors, many years ago before she was an author - Arlene Blum, who climbed Annapurna!

I have only read Roughing It and even then I only read a couple of chapters while studying it for English Literature.

Barbara | 4 comments That's a great list. I just looked at the first page, and need to add a few of those books to my to be read list. Wish the list was connected to goodreads to make that easier.
