How long are you giving yourselves to read it?

I don't have definite time to how long will I read it. I take my time to enjoy my reading but I read one book at one time. I usually need 2 to 3 days to finish books I read, but this one seems longer that I used to read. So maybe I need more than 4 days.

50%, this book definitely one of the thickest YA books I've ever read and very descriptive but I enjoy every chapter I read, so far. Just finished it! It's an awesome book, I loved it. It has paranormal, magic, suspence, romance with witty and lovable characters but it's nothing like I read before.

I just started it. I'm liking it so far. It is very descriptive, but I like it. For some reason, this book reminds me of Stephen King's writing.

@ Jalyn, I never read Stephen King books, I don't like horror :) But I can bare descriptive story if it is good for it. I love the Lord of the Ring which I think very descriptive.

But I do feel kind of struggle reading this book the first couple chapters. I think I have to adjust my mind since I never read anything like this. It is my first book from Libba Bray and I love it. I think I'm going to read her other books.

Im reading this also guys! Im about 100 pages in. Im still iffy about how i feel about it. theres ALOT of characters, I keep forgetting who's who.

Yes, this book has a lot of characters, but I didn't have problem since they are quite different from each other and Libba Bray wrote it clearly (with their physical appearance and all). It's the descriptive that quite distracted me, though after first few chapters I can pass it and enjoyed it.

I really love the characters, they are so lovable especially Evie.

I think it's because of the description, right? I found it's so detail with a lot of things that I'm not familiar with. It's the longest book I read for this year, so far.

I just started this.. I'm about 10% and I already really like the MC.. She's fiesty and a tad bit funny.. I'm interested to see where it goes.

No worries.. I think Noella is gonna read it with us sometime soon so we can just go at our own pace :)

I'm on the fence about Evie at the moment. She's got a lot of attitude which does bring something different to the story as opposed to a dull character.

Lol) and her interactions with Sam :D (hide spoiler)]

39% (view spoiler)[ This is an interesting read for me! It's kind of all over the place but I can follow it thanks to the way the chapters are broken up. I also don't usually read things set in the past and especially don't read paranormal stuff set in the past. It's fun to learn about a new time in history while not having to trudge through history lessons that I couldn't care less about. I kinda like Naughty John as a villian but I want to know how he got to be the way he is and why he's killing people. (hide spoiler)]

It seems everyone is interested in Evie! I kinda like Sam too I can totally see him and Evie together.. But I can also see her with Jericho once he comes out of his shell a bit more.

(view spoiler)[Hmmm Evie and Jericho aye? :P. At least Mabel has kind of set her eyes on someone else plus she never really captured Jericho's attention anyway.

The last few chapters were full of foreshadowing though. Like those elderly ladies were still spouting about 'something' coming, just like they were in the beginning. It's frustrating because they're too cryptic!

I'm wondering in the next book whether the Diviners gather (which I expected in this book but it didn't happen) and work together or something. That would be pretty cool. (hide spoiler)]
