What are you reading right now and what prompted you to pick it up? Was it the cover art? The title? The blurb? Were you searching for something in particular? Give us an insight into your thought process.

Danielle (danielleleneedavis) | 30 comments I'm reading Rusty Nail, by JA Konrath. I'm reading it because I read two other books with his main character, Jack Daniels. She's a strong detective and the story is told in first person. They also have the POV of the antagonist. I continued to read the series because of the main character. I don't find the books dull and the main character has attitude, which I'm not finding in some of the other authors' mystery novels I've read when searching for new books. Actually, I guess I should be thankful for these lackluster characters. That's what finally gave me the push I needed to do what I've wanted to do for years. That's write a novel myself.

Man, I am so far behind on my reading! I guess that's what I get for taking almost a decade off from reading fiction. I have heard of JA Konrath, but haven't read anything, yet. This series sounds good. Thanks for sharing.
