Something Old, Something New discussion

Does anyone have any series that they just absolutely love?
My favourite series reads of all time are definitely The Dark Tower series by Stephen King, The Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind, the Legends of the Raven series by James Barclay and purely for the fun the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris.
One of the hardest series I have found to read was definitely the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. I managed to make it up to around book 7 I think before I just gave up. One day I might try and finish it.....

Deverry is a good one, as are The Dresden Files. Kingkiller Chronicles are very enjoyable, but slow in the making. I sometimes wonder whether Rothfuss(the writer) has a competition with George RR Martin over who can write the slowest, haha.

I'm starting to definitely get a soft spot for Harry Dresden in The Dresden Files now. I've almost finished listening to book three Grave Peril in this series and am loving it!
I can't believe I never new about this series until only a few months ago!
