Origin discussion

So, I'm curious, what did you all think of the ending of Origin? Do you think that Daemon, Dee, and Dawson are being brainwashed or mind-controlled by the Luxen and that's why they left? Do you think they will now be siding with Luxen and fight against the hybrids and humans, or do you think that they still have control of their minds but not their bodies, and that's why they left with the Luxen army at the end? Do you think that the Luxen will lock them away so that they can't help the humans fight against their race? Lastly, what do you think the Luxen will do with the hybrids? It's true that they do despise the hybrids and see them as abominations; however, they can't kill them without harming the Luxen that mutated them. I think this is why Katy and Beth weren't killed at the end of Origin.

Well, it didn't say that they actually left with the other Luxen. It said when they gathered around & Daemon & his siblings walked forward, it was like he was surrounded by them all. To the point where Katy couldn't tell which one was him. Her Luc, Beth, & the origin, were backing away but still watching them.

The fact that Daemon didn't respond to Katy, I think is cos he didnt have control over his own faculties at the moment too, but at this point the reason why is anyone's guess. The only thing I'm pretty sure of is a huge war is about happen so all of this could go anywhere. I do think that there will be some major conflict for daemon & his people & his feelings for Katy. Just as it will be a huge conflict for her. Cos somebody is gonna have to choose which side they're on. I don't think that Daemon is gonna choose the others over Katy though. I think he's gonna choose to stand on the side with the Luxen who dont want a war along side Katy & other Humans. Since the world now knows about their existence I think Humans are to join the fight along side the Luxen who just want to live there in peace with them.

i think that it's more a 'strength in numbers' thing and Daemon and the 'earthly luxen' haven't been around such powerful Luxen recently so i'm sure that there was a draw of some sort. i think that there's going to be an interesting twist though since they keep saying that Katy is really strong as a hybrid even and that it's because of Daemon - so i think that we may learn that he's more powerful than even we knew and i wonder if some of the luxen that showed up were their parents?

a battle is sure to happen but i thin that luc will really help in some fashion as will the other origins and i think that there's going to be just a few of the folks that we love standing at the end.

I have no idea how they're gonna recover from that, and I'm honestly unable to make predictions about the next book because the last one ended so absurdly that I can't even imagine how she'd be able to make everything okay after all that happens? In the end of origin katy thinks they might not have a choice but i think they will find someway,i totally agree with 'strength in numbers' thing and maybe Katy is really the most strong hybrid,and also there are origin,beth is pregnant too,the battle is inevitible we just have to wait what twist are coming our way in the upcoming book.

The origin kid Katy helped, I feel like he'll have his eye on her and being a five year old with higher intelligence, I'd say he helped the rest of the origins out and so it'll be Daemon, Dee, Dawson, Katy, Beth, Luc, Archer, Good Luxen and the origins against evil, power - hungry Luxen though for some reason I feel like the Arum might help Katy and the gang. But, you know, J. Lynn is evil, crazy evil She's gonna let us brew up all these crazy plots and then totally blow our minds with unexpected deaths and twists. Evil-author-mode activated. Mission to get Super-desperate-readers-to-die accomplished.

ya u are right tanvira you never know what twists may be there and i also think arum might help them luc has contacts and Daemon met one while searching katy,there are both good and bad even in aliens.

I don't think they're going to be in trouble for revealing themselves. In fact, I think that was the catalyst for the Luxen to decide to come to Earth now to begin the battle that had been hinted at in Obsession and early on in Origin when the head of Daemon's clan said that Earth belonged to the humans "for now." I think they were thinking of invading soon and deciding to move it up after the reveal happened because Earth was now in a complete panic which would make it the perfect time to attack with humans being so scared and vulnerable.

I'm not sure, but when they had all shifted into there Luxen forms, at the same time, and claimed that they had heard someone calling them, I think it could be their parents. yes, I had read that they died, but didn't MAtthew tell them that? And look where Matthew is now. Just a thought.

I cannot wait for this next book to come out, I hated the cliff hanger (only cos I wanted more), it will be a good read, Katy's powers are getting stronger, she will probably be the one to end the war.

I think something huge is definately going to happen with Katy - why else would how strong she is be mentioned so often?

OH NO!! What if she had to convince him of what side to fight on, her and Earth vs. (possibly)his parents' side?!? I think I would be having a major panic attack over what side he chose.

Man I'm just so OMG.. I think their love will prevail in the end.. I hope.. As to how it gets there I'm at a loss I really believe it is going to be very intense from the get go.

I cannot wait for the next book to come out, the wait is killing me.

Just a thought, but what if the last scene was more of a Don't-say-anything-and-we-won't-hurt-them kinda deal? Not really brainwash but more of a surrender to protect the people they love. After all they've shown they're powerful but they're not stupid, they knew they were outnumbered that they didn't have a prayer against all those Luxen. I'd like to believe Daemon wouldn't have gone off like that if he had a choice.

I agree with you Daemon would not do that to Katy!

I can not wait until the 5th book comes out! That cliffhanger had me pacing thinking the same thing about the Luxens not having a choice but to join "their own" even though they may not truly understand the capacity of what is going on. It will be an exciting book to see what happens :-)

I think that Dee, Daemon and Dawson are brainwashed, because if Daemon willingly got captured for Katy then he wouldn't just ignore her for the evil Luxen.
*sigh* Another period of time just waiting for more Lux amazingness.........

Has anybody read the spin-off book Obsession see if Hunter is anywhere near the last scene in Origin?

Does someone know when this book will be release..? I need to knoww, ohh this is so exciting book. It would be cool to have own Daemon, ohh give me Daemon.. :*
