Kathleen | 5 comments I'm not the biggest fan of science fiction as a rule, but this novel by Imogen Howson is remarkable. Beyond the science of a future human-inhabitated planet, space flight and even real star wars, it has thought-provoking explorations of what it means to be human and what it means to be ethical. The structure has some flaws (it drags in places), but worth a look.

message 2: by Emily (new)

Emily (e_dagg) It's a true YA book, in the sense that the main character comes into her own, starts thinking and acting for herself, learns to stand up for what she feels is right, and strives to find her place in the universe. And that being different IS normal. The pacing and transitions were a little bumpy, but overall an enjoyable read.
