Already started book 3 but haven't made much progress yet (not the fault of the book, busy couple of weeks). Looking forward to the group read!

Well, maybe not until next week, since I'm reading something else at the moment and am going away for a few days.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how Fitz goes apprenticing Swift Wit.
I can't wait to get into the next book so I'm ready whenever you are Hanne

It's one of those mistakes he seems doomed to repeat. He's deciding things for Nettle, the Fool, and even making decisions that impact the throne - like off and going all ninja on the Piebalds - but I liked that part.

I'm enjoying this Trilogy even more than the previous two this time round. Hobb's writing just gets better.

Yeah, and at the same time there is the sense that so much is going on - Fitz barely has time to scratch himself.

I think everything is pointing to Nettle being a very powerful Skill user. I'm curious for her to come to Buckkeep because she might prove to be one of the most powerful they ever had. Future skill master? Future owner of the largest coterie ever? Who knows

But as a result of the absence of plot, we get far more room to inhabit the character of Fitz, and to see and analyse his various relationships. "
Agree. That's what i absolutely adore about her. It's almost psychological. The only that hurts is how many times Fitz gets beaten up along the way.

The 25th is good for me :)

The 25th is good for me.
i really like how this is going. i love that fitz has an apprentice of his own: and none other than burrich. i guess somehow this might sooth things whenever molly and burrich find out fitz is alive.
it's also clear that the voice must be tintaglia, as she is the only blue dragon we know about. did she find out there might be another, and is desperate to have him found?
help me here, but i think i remember that selden was not present when Elliania put down her challenge, so Tintaglia doesn't know that they intend to kill the other dragon burried in ice.
