What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

So this girl names Lori has a rich distant relative who wants her to get a job and spy on a company for him, and he will compensate her well.

She doesn't want to do this so she tries everything she can to not do well during the job interview, but because she had already bumped into the CEO (hero) without knowing it, she gets the job.

Instead of spying she actually protects the CEO, and before she can tell him how she came to work for him he thinks she is undercutting his bids on a contract offer and basically throws her out into the rain.

Some things that I distinctly remember:

-Hero has italian friends that own a restaurant and the owner is the one that starts calling the heroine "Lori" short for her real name.
-Hero finally realizes his mistake and during Christmas shows up at her door to ask for forgiveness.

My sister really wants to read this novel, but for the life of me I can't remember the title. Please help, I'd be super appreciative to get this off my mind finally
