Michael On wikepedia it says the 2 series are connected us this true

Patricia Kaniasty No it's not true. I've read both series. Very different. And different authors. I love Holly black stories.

Heidi Carreon They are separate, but there are some aspects that are connected. Both book series take place in the same year.
Val and Luis are in CoB, Clary listens to music from Kaye's mother's band, and there's a mention of the mortal cup in Ironside.
As of now I agree with Watersheerie that they are not connected, but I'm curious to see the events of CoHF.
If the Seelie Queen in TMI really is Silarial, then a mention of her death would be in CoHF.

Eleanor Batten Val and Luis make a very brief appearance in COB, and you wouldn't notice unless your well known with what the two character's look like. I know I didn't notice the first time I read COB.

Saray No, but I really like this book. I picked it out to make it look like I was gonna read but then I was forced to read it and i couldnt put it down.

Rohima The two authors are really good friends...

Ash Sandstrom The authors both make references to each others' books. The books aren't really connected but you do see Val and Luis briefly in City of Bones, pg 174.
