Sarah Noffke Fan Club discussion

I thought that it would be fun to share some of the covers that didn't make it when creating Awoken's appearance. I actually ran a contest to find the right designer and there were some really great entries. Anyway, cover design is a crazy and fun part of production. A lot goes into it. The cover designer I chose was Andrei Bat and he's done all my cover since Awoken. I'll share some of the runner-ups and also some of Andrei's original designs. It will give you all an idea of all the craziness that transpires before you get the finished product.

Here's a runner-up who was super fun to work with, but just didn't have that stunning aspect I was going for.

Each cover designer had a different take based on the brief I provided. I really thought this one was compelling.

Here's one of the earlier versions of Awoken. You can see all the changes Andrei made before we had the final cover. I had him rotate, fix hands, midsection and shoes, as well as a few other things.

Wow, those where really good competition, but I think you chose the best!

Working on the cover for second book in new series, Rebels, and you wouldn't recognize the first cover from where we're ending up. It's a crazy and fun process.

Thank you! Good to get the validation. :) It was a fun and tough process. I have some other evolutions of covers I can share soon. The ones for Stunned and Revived you wouldn't even recognize. They started way differently than how they ended.

Yeah as people have said all eye catching covers but in the end the best one won it's a fantastic cover.

This was a really neat process to see! I love the cover that you ended up with

I think the final product was definitely my fave. Very interesting how the images can be manipulated to give you exactly what you want. A very talented production team.

Thank y'all. I loved sharing this because cover design is such a fun part of being an author. You wouldn't believe some of the original mock ups for covers and how they evolved during the design process. My designer is really great to work with and always works tirelessly to get everything just right.

Awoken is by far still my favorite cover. Maybe it's because it's my first, but I think that it is really striking and has a unique quality to it. A different take on a popular image.

I kinda like this one...it's pretty with the golden light. But you ultimately went with the best, and you know how important your cover on your book can be!

Covers are super important. I know, I was torn a bit when first choosing. It was a really overwhelming process to pick the right design and designer. However, not only did I love Andrei's design, but he has an amazing work ethic and that's why I chose him. :)

Wow that is some great covers. I don't know if I could come up with one cool cover, but you came up with all of those. I love your talent

The cover of this book grabbed me before I even knew what the book was about! So I have to say that it was super striking!!
