"Hey, thanks for taking my call! Long time reader, first time writer..."
I love the genre! First Sci-Fi I read was Alan Dean Foster's Star Trek logs. First Fantasy was Conan the Barbarian.
At least that's the first ones I remember. It was the Thomas Covenant series that really kicked me off -- since after high school, I've been reading constantly, probably a book every few days.
Except... for recently. Writing takes more time, and I'm usually writing when I would have been reading.
I used to be heavy into comics too, including co-chairing a sci-fi and comics convention in Tulsa, Ok.
Nowadays I'm reading a lot of post-apocalyptic stuff, which brings me to my first book, The Fractured Earth, free on Kobo and iBooks ... I'm trying to make it free on Kindle too, but no luck yet. I'd greatly appreciate some reviews!
