Felicia just sent me a link to the Seattle Lesbian and Gay Film Festival, which is from Oct. 10-20.
Here's the link: https://www.threedollarbillcinema.org...
I'm planning on checking a few out, if anyone wants to join in. :)

Wow, that movie looks really powerful. I think I might go for that one too.

Pretty sure we're going to be on the flight home from GRL Atlanta during that screening. Bummer! Would have loved to have seen it.

I noticed that the next time I looked. :-( I really, really wanted to see it, and they aren't having it at the Portland film festival.

I'm still going to plan to attend if anyone in the area wants to join me. :)

ETA: And I've donated! :-D
For those around Seattle, the Gay City LGBT Library is having a book sale on October 4 - October 6 where they will be selling books that they have duplicates of, and all proceeds raised go directly to supporting the library. :)
Here's the link: https://www.facebook.com/events/50452...
We have some extra swag leftover from the Meet-Up, so GRNW will be donating some of it to the book sale, so if you buy a number of books, you will get some free stuff! (Maybe some more saucy magnetic poetry!) :D

For those around Seattle, GRNW partner Gay City is holding their next Meet the Author event on Oct. 17.
Meet the Author: Jaimee Garbacik
Gay City
Thursday, Oct 17 / 7pm
Calamus Auditorium at Gay City
Join Gay City for the latest in our Meet the Author Series as we present Seattle author Jaimee Garbacik as she reads from her book Gender & Sexuality For Beginners, which interweaves neurobiology, psychology, feminist, queer, and trans theory, as well as historical gay and lesbian activism, to offer new perspectives on gender inequality and to ultimately point to the ways in which the inadequate sex-gender system oppresses us all.

They have a pretty extensive programming for the whole weekend, from gaming, to panels on fanfiction, publishing, genre fiction, and even marketing your art, so lots of things to do. :)
