Juanita (juanitav) | 744 comments Week 27 is coming to a close ... what have you read this week?

I finally finished "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams for "a popular author's first book."

I have 11 prompts left. 41/51

I feel like my reading activity is tapering off for the summer. And I'm getting a little spastic: I have 5 books going at once right now and I NEVER do that!

Happy reading!

Belinda (belindalt) | 99 comments Still reading A Game of Thrones - George RR Martin (TV show), Naked - David Sedaris (funny book) and Alice in Wonderland - Lewis Carroll (nonhuman characters) which I am reading to my daughter.

I haven't finished any books this week.

Nicole This week I finished What I Know For Sure by Oprah. I used this for the Author I've Never Read prompt. I'm currently reading my High School prompt.

Megan (mghrt06) | 546 comments I had a pretty good week. I checked off my over 500 page book - Northern Lights, my book of short stories - My True Love Gave to Me: Twelve Holiday Stories, and memoir Yes Please.

I feel a reading slump coming on so I might take it easy this week. I at least want to finish the book I own but never read and maybe (big maybe) start and finish the place I always wanted to visit category.

Good Luck - hopefully you have sunshine where ever you are!

Alycia | 65 comments This week I finished Season of Storms by Susanna Kearsley. It takes place in Italy, so I'm using it for a place I've always wanted to visit. I've read quite a few of her books and am never disappointed.
I'm at 35/52. Next up is my book club's pick: Liar's Bench by Kim Michele Richardson. I'm not sure if I can find a prompt to fit it into. Maybe a book you can read in a day because I have to have it done by Monday!

message 6: by Ray (new)

Ray Jordan (rjordan1041) I just finished "Water for Elephants" today for my love triangle prompt. I plan to start "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" for my book set in the future prompt.

Cate (catelam) | 56 comments I had another week in which I didn't manage to read much. To make myself feel like I was progressing with the challenge I decided to tick off the graphic novel prompt with Anya's Ghost, which I really enjoyed. Yesterday I also finally managed to finish Save Me the Waltz (book at the bottom of my TBR) - it was really short but took me forever to finish, partly because I have been very busy and partly because it was just really hard to get into.

Now I only have to read a book that I was supposed to read in high school and a book set during Christmas time (which I am definitely not in the mood for considering it's July!). Might take a small break and read a book not for the challenge!
