If one is not familiar with all the players, then it might be a tad confusing; however, I personally think that this writer has laid out the "script" in a way that one should be able to follow. Of course, it is always helpful to have a Genealogical Table to refer to as you read. Having said that I have been slow in my reading thus far but I am really enjoying this read. I am one of those completely fascinated with Queen Victoria, the era and her legacy.

I find it very hard to follow, even tho all the nicknames were explained, jumping from given name to nickname multiple times in the same sentence is distracting. Victoria is a new to me. I am enjoying it tho.

Sara W (sarawesq) | 2153 comments I'm late to this read, but I should have the book in the next few days. I haven't read a lot after the Tudor period except for random books here and there (besides about the Romanovs), so I'm looking forward to it.
