Fascinating story: The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks

I started The Tree: A Natural History of What Trees Are, How They Live & Why They Matter a few years ago and thought it was fascinating.

Also:T. Rex and the Crater of Doom because of the awesome title.

Looking more closely: T. Rex and the Crater of Doom is more about geology and paleontology than biology.

This one popped up in my recommendations and looks interesting: The Epigenetics Revolution.

How about Reading and the Brain by Stanislas Dehaene? We are all readers. Thinking about how the brain makes it work is right up our alley (so to speak).

I'd love for you all to check out my own new science thriller for the autumn read! It's a fun story but also hits on a lot contemporary biology topics.
