Please add any books you would like to read for our winter group read. Books should have a biological theme. Please use the add book/author feature above the comment box.

I will be adding all books previously suggested to our Spring poll. Feel free to add any books not listed on this thread for suggestions. Polls will be up this week.

Nadia | 1 comments Morphic Resonance The Nature of Formative Causation by Rupert Sheldrake
I'm sorry but the book/author feature doesn't work for me, don't know why.

Bill | 13 comments I started The Tree: A Natural History of What Trees Are, How They Live & Why They Matter a few years ago and thought it was fascinating.

Also:T. Rex and the Crater of Doom because of the awesome title.

Bill | 13 comments Looking more closely: T. Rex and the Crater of Doom is more about geology and paleontology than biology.

This one popped up in my recommendations and looks interesting: The Epigenetics Revolution.

Cindy (cwsmith) | 2 comments How about Reading and the Brain by Stanislas Dehaene? We are all readers. Thinking about how the brain makes it work is right up our alley (so to speak).

Elliott Garber (elliottgarber) | 10 comments I'd love for you all to check out my own new science thriller for the autumn read! It's a fun story but also hits on a lot contemporary biology topics.

The Chimera Sequence by Elliott Garber

Thanks!

Hello, everyone! I'm sorry, but I my polls are continually deleted a few days after I create them. I am working on fixing it, but in the meantime, I thought we could vote on this thread. Please leave a comment on which book listed above you wish to read for the Autumn group read. If you do not wish your vote to be seen by the group, you may send me a PM with your vote. Please only vote for a book listed above and do not send a new book suggestion until after the Autumn book has been selected. Again, I am so sorry and I hope to have this problem resolved soon!
