Elaina42 Boring to death book ... it is obvious that men and women are after free sex ... it amazes me sometimes how we like to rename the obvious ... this is adultery and whoring plain and simple ... not people following their true desires.

It disgusted me to the bone, and seeing reviews of people who really found it entertaining made me want to vomit .. how cheap a man can go .. I wonder ..

Donna Baldwin Wow that was really a low thing to say. People who live that life are adults and car and love for each other. It might not be what you want in your life but you should never judge someone else's lifestyle. You would not want us to judge your life and what you choose to do with your mate. I would hate to see your views on gay people. I do not consider a person who lives that style a whore and I'm sure that my cousin who lives it would totally disagree with you and your views. They live normal everyday lives and what grown people do in there spare time is not for you to judge. This is a great book and if you don't like it that's one thing but to say what you did was really horrible. If you do not like bdsm then you should not read it stick to the regular romance books.

Robert There was a time when we thought only men read books like this. I have not read it because I find the entire concept of BDSM, submission and degradation abhorrent, but I noticed that both of the previous respondents are women. I also discovered, much to my surprise that the people in my office who most liked "Fifty Shades of Grey" were women.

As an old guy, I am not sure I am comfortable with this and I am not sure we are setting a healthy example for our young men. In an age where violence against women is a world wide pandemic, I fear books like this will exacerbate the situation.

Lisa Well I for one loved this book.
The follow ups when she got together with her Sir, were just as good.
I think you could tell theove the 2 of them had for each other right from the beginning.

Sandra I'm not sure where you are getting the adultery thing from as the main characters were both single through out the book. It it amazing how some one who doesn't live the life can be so judgmental. I'm curious to know why you even purchased and read this book if that's how you feel, its not like it was advertised as a sweet romantic love story.

Donna Baldwin That's true Sandra it is marked for 18+ and it's adult romance. She prob got the free book lol I love everything Red writes and if it's not for you then that's fine but you should never degrade someone if you don't like move on. She must have the most boring of sex life possible. Guys have read it and I talked to my cousin who is in the lifestyle and said that this was a greatly written book. My advice is move on and buy something that does not say 18+ on it because it's going to be erotica.

Sandra I agree Donna, I too got the book for free but loved it so much I purchased the rest of the series. It was clearly written in the description what the story line was. I have gotten many books for free that I end up not liking but I DO NOT trash the author because of that. I say if your that easily offended you should be a little more discerning in your "one click" reflexes.

Stephanie As someone who absolutely loves Red Phoenix, the above comment hurts my heart. I don't recall this book being a non fiction. It is fiction, therefore you are open to interpret this book in many different ways. Some read them as an escape so they can fantasize about Red's world. Other people read it as a learning book to add more kink in the bedroom with their partner while others love the fact that Red lives the life as a sub and does her research to provide a beautiful story for other BDSM people. A true book lover can see any book for the talent whether it is their cup of tea or not. They would certainly not lessen someone else's work or other people's entertainment out of sheer abhorrence and ignorance. Bottom line, back the hell off Red Phoenix.

Donna Baldwin To let you know and understand more there are many of ladies who are in the roll of dominatrix it's not just men.

Donna Baldwin Agree Stephanie

Nene I am not into the BDSM lifestyle it's not for me but I do enjoy reading about it matter of fact I didn't know that lifestyle exist until I read Fifty Shade of Grey but I have learned a lot by reading it.

Donna Baldwin Fifty shades of grey is nothing compared to the Brie series if you have not red her series you really should it is very informative and a great read.

Sandra Great response Stephanie :)

Colleen Elaina you don't know me and you never will unless by some freak of nature occurring but I live the BDSM lifestyle. You may not agree with it and that is your right but I also have the right to live the way I do. I'm not breaking any laws, I'm a productive member of society. You may call me a deviant and again that is your right but I wouldn;t say that I am. I'm someone who enjoys things that you don't. I'm not Vanilla but I have no problem with anyone who is either. I am not a whore nor am I cheating with or on anyone. However if you need to vomit, this Sub won't clean up after you. Your comments are offensive to me and I know of some that would call you a Bully. My Mother used to tell me if I don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all so that is what I'll do.

Dorothy Riepenhoff While you are entitled to your opinion. Elaina42, so is Red and anyone else who CHOOSES to read her stories. If you are as closed minded as you appear to be, why would you CHOOSE to read a book with the title Brie Learns the Art of Submission? What did you think the story was going to be about, quilting club?
Simply put, authors, such as Red, pour their heart and souls into their work and they have feeling too. You are entitled to not like the work but you could have voiced your opinion in a more respectful manor.
As far as your opinion on the BDSM lifestyle, I say the same. You may not like it or agree with it, but people CHOOSING to life this life have feeling just as you. Choose your wording more wisely next time.
I say to you the same thing I say to my children; Remember, just because someone likes or believes something different doesn't make it wrong, it just makes it different.

Elaina42, the point of Brie was not to market adultery and whoring, but to promote understanding and respect. Blessings ~Red Phoenix

Shanna @ Red, that note of professionalism and grace despite the lack of tact used in the initial opinionated commentary has made your work that much more endearing.

Well wishes Red.
