Danielle Robertson Robertson (greeneyedguide) | 2 comments I wrote Are You a Monster or a Rock Star to help those who hate or have-to-have energy drinks, and everyone in between. V8 makes an energy drink, so does Starbucks. Yet when people hear "energy drink" they think of the Monsters and Rockstars, the extremes.
My goal is to help people become smarter consumers: how to tell the good from the bad, how to wake up sans caffeine, and how everyday ingredients work (we're talking ingredients commonly found in non-energy drink beverages such as Naked, Odwalla, Sobe and numerous other "functional beverages" or supplements). As a food scientist, I understand these products and these ingredients, but I want to help others sort through the medical jargon and really understand the benefits of green tea, the cons of having too much niacin, and much more.
