But on one disastrous night, James’s life crumbles apart, and with it, Marina’s hopes for their future. Now someone is trying to kill him. Marina will protect James, no matter what. Even if it means opening her eyes to a truth so terrible that she may not survive it. At least not as the girl she once was.

Abbie would you want to set a reading pace for this book. Say two chapters a day or we set date we target to finish. Just suggesting. Same for Grave Mercy too.

Most people usually just read at their own pace. :)
I'm a fast reader, so i'll probably read this in a day, but i'll still pop in to discuss. :)

I really want to read this now since my currently reading didn't work for me but I hate to put on hold one book to read another book and then back again to previous book. But I'm glad you like it so far :)

okay, now I'm the only one who haven't started it yet and I'm a slow reader. It looks like I have to put on hold my currenty reading and read this book now! :D

I didn't read it today, I read it in July for the MMC funnily enough. I have re-read today though ☺

I started it a while ago and now on 20% I love it! I think the first few chapters in this book is the best first few chapters I've read on YA books by far :)

I liked this one too. It's a bit different!

I'm only on chapter 9 now but I feel like this is 4 to 5 stars worthy book :) So glad I finally read something new and interesting after my reading slump.

I can't wait to read more about (view spoiler)[James who become a very bad person that make Marina hates him. I have to admit that I was surprised with this, though. I thought that James will be the protagonist and the story will be more about Marina tries to save the future by saving James, not killing him (hide spoiler)].

30% I really like this book, each chapter is getting more interesting and unpredictable, (view spoiler)[ now Em changes the future and I believe Marina involves with the time machine that James will build, somehow (hide spoiler)].

I think (view spoiler)[ in most of hospital room there is a bell or some thing like that to call a nurse and/or doctor. so the patient and/or his/her family doesn't have to go outside the room to the nurse station to look for a nurse and/or doctor. I think it's kind of odd Finn have to go outside Nate's room to call a doctor, instead of use the bell/emergency button or does it mean Nate's room doesn't have it? (hide spoiler)]

@Sarah, it's bittersweet ending and I kind of hope it didn't turn that way (view spoiler)[ although I know James should die to avoid the doctor exist, I feel sad for him (hide spoiler)], but I think it's the best way to end it. I do have question, though (view spoiler)[ how come Finn didn't die like James? while both of them were shot (hide spoiler)].

@Kathryn, I don't know why but I feel this is less confusing than other time travel book I've read, for example Endless by Amanda Gray that I read weeks ago. I didn't have to read a couple time to understand it like I did with Endless and everything is so clear I didn't question it :)
