Jack/Jacquelina A. Shelia (jackieshelia) | 11 comments Does anyone have any advice on how to go about pitching your book for a movie? I assume I would need to first convert it into a screenplay, which I would need someone to do for me. But then where or who would be the best place to approach after that? I keep dreaming of Johnny Depp playing me on the big screen. ;)

r8chh Like to have someone turn it into a movie?

Jack/Jacquelina A. Shelia (jackieshelia) | 11 comments Yeah. I think it has the potential to be a good movie. The book has received a number of good reviews, and I've heard from a lot of readers you said they could relate to my story. So a movie has become my dream for the book. But I've no experience in that area.

I wonder if I really need to convert it into a screenplay first, or could I just try to pitch the book itself. I have a friend (another professional writer) who writes screenplays and sends them off to Hollywood producers, but he has had no luck in that department.

So I was just wondering if anyone out there might have any insightful tips in regard to this.
