Kindle Lending (The Nest) discussion

Hi there,
I was planning to get my kids kindle fires for Christmas. I have been seeing them for $159 which is a good price. Now, today, I go to Amazon and they are coming out with a whole new line and they are on pre-order. But I can't for the life of me find the ones that already exist. What am I missing? I would think that if they are going to make new ones, the old ones would go even on further sale. But I don't even see them for sale at all. Anyone know?

They have apparently improved them again. I'm bummed though. I don't want to spend $229 each. I have 2 kids. I think I will check ebay.

I got my 3 year old and 2 year old off of eBay. Do the ore order there 139 she put the link up.

$139 is pretty cheap

The $229 ones are for the Fire HDX and those are 16 gb..

Okay, I just called Amazon for the first time ever. The customer service guy told me that the version that is now $139 is the same as the one that was sold yesterday for $199 (on sale all the time for $159). So it's the same one! The $229 one is a better improved version. Well, glad I got that cleared up! Now I'm really glad I didn't buy them for $159 since I get can them for $139 now :)

Now you can buy them both a kindle fire and have money leftover for Amazon gift cards :)
