Ok, we admit it, September was kind of a bust book-wise. The School for Good and Evil was pretty much a disappointment and The Dinner didn't capture many of our interests.
However... A new month means new books!
October brings ghouls, goblins and ghosts! In keeping with that spooky spirit, we'll be curling up with 'No Rest for the Spirit and Other Ghostly Tales' by Annie Rachel Cole. And for those scaredy cats out there (coughLicough), 'Eleanor and Park' by Rainbow Rowell can keep you company.
We hope the variety in our options will allow for amazing, literary journeys. Thanks to everyone for making Book Bodega such a great place.
Hmmm. Looks like when there's a tie we always go with you know who's pick. Hmmmm. (sorry Li I just had to razz u about this because I know you'd have been disappointed if I didn't. LOL.)
Ok, now I'm starting to feel the pressure. I'm so excited to have suggested one of this month's picks, but I haven't read it yet. So if it sucks, it's all my fault. Well, mine and Annie Rachel Cole's, but she isn't a member of our group so that leaves me. Here's to hoping it's a good book!
Lol! Each of us has suggested a stinker on the past! This is about reading and expanding our horizons and enjoying the discussion even if the book is a stinker! I wouldn't worry about it. :-)
Okay - ghost book is only 99 cents on Amazon, so I already started it. Just heard that Eleanor and Park arrived at my library so I'll pick it up tomorrow! Yay!
Greetings folks!
