Just read that Helen Fielding has knocked off Mark Darcy in the new Bridget Jones book Mad About the Boy. It starts off five years after his death with Bridget a 51-year old widow dating a younger man. Bad move or brave move on Fielding's part?

Makes me a little sad :( I know the books are supposed to be about Bridget Jones but how do you kill of Mark Darcy??
Not happy. I found her to be rather boring without him. Their relationship is what made the books and movies charming to me.
