I hope you like it. I hated this series. Entirely too misogynistic. Wolfe is a fine writer and all that and it's all very rich and poetic in symbolism but I couldn't get past the MC who was totally awful.

I'm about half way through and I'm finding the writing very dry. I agree that the main character isn't fantastic either. The setting is interesting though, so I'll continue reading just for that.

I read it with another group but didn't enjoy it. Having already bought part two I started that but only got half way and died, sorry I meant stopped.

This will be my second attempt at this book, I will see how it goes later this month.

I have made several attempts to read this book, and finally finished it. I wanted to like it but I just couldn’t bring myself around. The writing is so dry that I expect sand to fall from the pages. I agree with other readers, there’s entirely too many misogynistic threads running through it for my taste.

Going easier this time. I agree it is somewhat dry though.

This is the first time I read this book and the first of this author. I started today and till now I like it, It's very easy to read.
