Can summer be truly summer without Cousins Beach?

It used to be that Belly counted the days until summer, until she was back at Cousins Beach with Conrad and Jeremiah. But not this year. Not after Susannah got sick again and Conrad stopped caring. Everything that was right and good has fallen apart, leaving Belly wishing summer would never come.
But when Jeremiah calls saying Conrad has disappeared, Belly knows what she must do to make things right again. And it can only happen back at the beach house, the three of them together, the way things used to be. If this summer really and truly is the last summer, it should end the way it started--at Cousins Beach.

It was so sweet at the beginning when Conrad was calling her! such a shame that they broke up, although it did look pretty bad that he was with his ex in their basement after the funeral. I understood why Belly was upset though, she was grieving too :( (hide spoiler)]

hahahaha. I love how you reacted to every chapter. I actually like the first one better, I'm rooting for Conrad however I hate him in this book. Katy Perry's hot and cold song fits him perfectly. He's all kinds of weird when it comes to treating Belly.

I just don't get him really. the only thing i can blame it on is his grief over his mother. you're totally right about the song.

are you going to read the next book? im about to start reading it.

I feel the exact same way, you will get to see a different side of him in this book. As you get deeper into the story, you will notice how extremely happy go lucky guy he is which is not always a good thing.

95 pages through book 2 and im loving it. I read the first book a while back and now that im finally reading the second book i forgot how much i likes these books!!
