Nominations are over and since only one fantasy book was nominated, that will the book for November! :) Got to the poll (I'll leave a link in just a moment) to vote! :) You just have until October 28, which is a week from today!
Books mentioned in this topic
Between Shades of Gray (other topics)The Education of Mary: A Little Miss of Color: 1832 (other topics)
Out of My Mind (other topics)
Bloomability (other topics)
If, by October 18, there are no nominations in a particular genre, we will not even poll the group about having a group read in that area. There simply will not be one. I doubt that will happen, because Jackie and I do tend to nominate books. However, there is something else new that might need to be implemented. If moderators are the only people voting on polls, then we will assume that no one is interested in doing group reads. So if a poll has no votes, there will be no group read for that month in that genre.
Also, all nominations will be on one post this month. Because of this, please specify which genre you are nominating a book for.
Also, our original guidelines still apply.
Since we don't have many members, I am not going to restrict you to only nominating one book. However, I would like for everyone to nominate three books at the maximum.
If you are only nominating one book (which is fine) then it cannot be your own. If you are nominating two or three books, then I am fine with you nominating your own.
All nominations must be young adult. No 18+ content. If you are not sure, then play it safe and don't nominate it! If it is a book that you really want to see as a group read, then message me and/or Jackie. There's a chance that one of us might have read it and would approve it for you.
Historical Books Only:I know that technically historical fiction takes place 50 years ago at least, but I am fine with you nominating anything that has historical value, even if it is set a bit closer to present day.
Let's start the nominations!!!
