Paganalexandria | 354 comments I have no clue if this is in the right place but ran across this on Perez Hilton today and had to share:

Make room, Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele! T-Rex coming through! And he's bringing his little pal, Velociraptor, too! In case you're completely over whips, paddles, and Red Rooms of Pain, we have the perfect alternative for you, and it includes DINOSAURS. We'd like to imagine it's just Jurassic Park fan fic involving a lot of interesting sex positions with Jeff Goldblum, but alas, it's actual real erotica involving the extinct creators… A short erotica story, named Taken By The T-Rex, by co-authors Christie Sims and Alara Branwen, have been taking the "monster sex" section of erotica by storm. (And yes, that's a real thing!) And, in case you're not convinced yet, just look at some of the very positive reviews on Amazon! It's like garden feast for a Brachiosaurus! You know, cuz they're herbivores, and all. One review even succinctly says the story was "not relatable," however very "accurate": "It is very uncommon to find accurate depictions of dinosaur on woman sex. If, like me, you have found it increasingly difficult to satisfy your need to recount old times, then this literary masterpiece is for you. No other author has truly been able to both arouse and entice my intense desire to mate with a T-Rex as accurately and successfully as Christie Sims. I would not be surprised if this book outsells the Bible and brings about a new age of literary enlightenment." - See more at: http://perezhilton.com/teddyhilton/20...

This is so awesomely bad I am really thinking of reading it. LOL T-Rex Troubles by Christie Sims Ravaged By the Raptor by Christie Sims

Who else is tempted? I feel a buddy read coming on LOL. What more dangerous than dinosaurs?

Thank God, Sharmila, because I didn't want to go down this dark road alone. LOL. Which one looked better (more hilariously worse) to you? T-rex or Raptor?

message 6: by Sonya (last edited Oct 04, 2013 05:34AM) (new)

Sonya Heaney I might read it - after I read those infamous shifter romances about herds of cattle...

I've got to say, that author has really scored there with the publicity!

edit: Whoops - authorS

Talk about your dangerous heroes! lol

Danielle Book Boss (daniellebookboss) I can't decide if I should laugh hysterically, cringe in disgust, block my thoughts about people who actually read this stuff. "this is a tale of monster sex" guess there is something for everyone.

Jessica Sapp (wwwgoodreadscomjessica_sapp) | 11 comments Saw this on E! News and was barking with laughter. From what I understood, they're not even shifters. They stay as a dinosaur and fuck a human? Are you kidding me!? But the part about their "tiny, gentle hands" had me laughing so hard, I couldn't breathe. But I did share with my coworkers & went around all day at work with my arms tucked in my sleeves asking if they wanted "dino hugs." I got slapped a few times...lmao.

Lol I guess the Ravaged by a Raptor? Only because it has the better reviews. Lol
I can't stop laughing! If you really what to buddy read Paganalexandria, I'm down. What are friends fore! lol it's only like $2 bucks. What's the worst that can happen? .... I can either get a good laugh or spend the day trying to scrub my minds eye of the images that will be burned in there! LMBO.

I've never read anything like this. Of wait I did, it was about Dragons but there really wasn't much shifting happening and never picked up a book like it again. This book will lead to interesting conversation.

Let me know sis ;.)

Sharmila, I can't believe it, but I am so in. When would you like to start?

message 16: by Sharmila (new)

Sharmila | 67 comments I'm in we can start today! Lol

message 17: by Kim (last edited Oct 04, 2013 01:29PM) (new)

Kim | 134 comments I am torn between really wanting to read this and being horrified at its very existence. I am still in shock that anyone thought about writing this, let alone did - and that she didn't stop at just one book. There's a whole series!! Anyway, I am in with the group read. Even though I kind of don't want to read it, I feel like I have to or I will lose sleep. On the other hand, I might be so horrified that I lose sleep after reading it too. lol

lol @ Kim. Such a dilemma!

Paganalexandria | 354 comments I have never started a group read before. Do we keep it on this thread or start another with a new title. Personally I'm partial to keeping it on this one but what ever works for everyone else is fine too.

message 20: by Kim (new)

Kim | 134 comments I vote for keeping it here since this thread is already about the book(s). Are we starting with any particular book?

Paganalexandria | 354 comments I agreed with Sharmilla to try Ravaged By the Raptor by Christie Sims

message 22: by Sharmila (new)

Sharmila | 67 comments Let me know when and I'll start the read. It seems pretty short so no interruptions to my Kiss of Midnight read :.)

Danielle Book Boss (daniellebookboss) Yall are going to pay for that story? it's 3 bucks for 15 pages and....well...it sounds gross...but I'm interested to see what you all think Like rubber necking at a car accident.

message 24: by Kim (new)

Kim | 134 comments Ok, I can't believe I'm about to say this, but I bought it and I'm ready to read. lol

message 25: by Sharmila (new)

Sharmila | 67 comments Lol Kim! Cray Cray right? I was trying to see if any of my nook friends had it to borrow, but no go. What will my friends think?! Lol

Paganalexandria | 354 comments Sharmila wrote: "Lol Kim! Cray Cray right? I was trying to see if any of my nook friends had it to borrow, but no go. What will my friends think?! Lol"

What really scares me are the recs Amazon will start sending me after this purchase. LOL

Danielle (~Dani~) (danibear579) | 11 comments You guys are cracking me up! Dinosaurs?
O.O I've gotta check this out, lol.

message 28: by Kim (new)

Kim | 134 comments Oh Paganalexandria, I hadn't even considered the recommendations. lol

Paganalexandria | 354 comments Kim wrote: "Oh Paganalexandria, I hadn't even considered the recommendations. lol"

Okay, Kim...I have also took the plunge and purchased it. It's really short, so it won't take long to read. I am curios why a 15 page book needs two writers though. Is one responsible for scientific accuracy and the other writes the porn? LMAO

message 30: by Kim (new)

Kim | 134 comments Well I finished it and I don't think any part of it could be considered scientifically accurate. lol

It was...so bizarre! I don't really know what else to say about it. This is clearly fiction so my looking for any kind of realism is just stupid. But all I could think during the sex scenes was "How could she possibly live through that in real life" and "why would a dinosaur even want to have sex with a human?" I'm pretty sure if a velociraptor was ever chasing me, the last thing I would be thinking about is sex. lol

If you are doing a buddy read, I will move this to that folder. Let me know and what the book is so I can add it to the title.

message 32: by Sharmila (new)

Sharmila | 67 comments Ok so I finished it during my break and... At first I was like ok it's reading pretty well, then I was ok and why isn't she dead yet? I mean a raptor isn't a little thing, at least not what Iv seen in the Museum of Natural History. I kept thinking of this huge reptile getting down and dirty about to rip her apart. I had to keep an open mind about this read but then home girl went back for more! Lol yes very bizarre! Poor raptor, he got iced right after and now is a meal for the clan. Talk about Black Widow style. Image the female character sitting at dinner! Lol

Paganalexandria | 354 comments Danielle The Book Huntress wrote: "If you are doing a buddy read, I will move this to that folder. Let me know and what the book is so I can add it to the title."

Danielle, the book is Ravaged By the Raptor by Christie Sims

Paganalexandria | 354 comments ***Spoilers*** (llke anyone cares)

Okay, this was about what I expected. I didn't understand why they spent so much time with the college dream deferred backstory. It didn't really add anything. Why was so much time put into letting us know the brother was ugly, but the beautiful girl was so desperate she was happy to sleep with a dinosaur? I didn't understand at all. The sex scene was clumsily written in my opinion. I don't think this would appeal to even someone who had some kind of dino fetish. I know there is a market for monster fetish books and I doubt fans would rate this high. They should have tried to make it horror-erotica instead of aiming for this weak version of sexy. Especially considering most of our only knowledge of raptors come from Jurassic Park. Why am I taking this task so seriously? LOL

message 35: by Sharmila (new)

Sharmila | 67 comments Don't think your taking it to serious, lol
I did except more. Does that sound crazy? It was a wth read. When finished I was like is there a sequel? Being how the way the book started out. It was fun to read something different that I would have passed. Don't really know what was all the fuss about?

But I'm still on the look about for a good shifter book. Lol

I want to review it but don't want to rip to shreds because it's very existence screams buyer beware. Even though I don't have a review I felt compelled to leave an explanation for all my friends who say it in my update feed. LOL

message 37: by Kim (new)

Kim | 134 comments I didn't even add it to my Goodreads feed. lol I don't want to have to explain this one to my friends & family via the 'net, although I did tell a couple people in person.

message 38: by Sharmila (new)

Sharmila | 67 comments LMBO I didn't add it to my reading shelves either! I was going to add it to my dangerous challenge read but I was like who was the dangerous character? The female or the raptor? Lol might just add it. Lol

Kim | 134 comments I don't know if this is allowed, but I came across this review on one of my favorite non-Goodreads sites. I wanted to post it here since it perfectly describes how I felt about Ravaged by the Raptor (same authors - different book).

Kim, knew I was in for a treat when I saw smart bitches. Love that site's reviews. Yeah, that review pretty much summed it up. I found a review for another another one of their books T-Rex Troubles by Christie Sims which sparked my buddy read suggestion.

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Please like or comment on it because it's tickling the reviewer that this is her most popular review to date. That being said I felt cheated because the T-Rex book seemed "better". I mean at least it has telepathic dinosaurs. LOL
