NBRC: Tower Teams Read 2013, Round II discussion

This is the thread to post about the pages read for this challenge. Please stop in here to post the number of pages read on a daily or semi daily basis.

If you are listening to an audio book please convert the pages to one of the books listed on Goodreads, preferably the most popular one.
I am going to be listening to Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption. It is 14 hours long which I believe translates into 840 minutes.

473/840 = 56 pages an hour. So if I read for 60 minutes I will have listened to 56 pages. So for every hour I Read I will post that many pages.

Once you finish a book and if it was started before the 4th I believe you can only count the pages read during the RAT. So please let us know what page you are on any books that you are currently reading.

Yes, any pages from books that qualify for TTRC (i.e. = 160). Even books she started before 10/4.

But only the pages read on 10/4 in the books started before October 4? The books have to be finished for the pages to count?

No, the books do not have to be finished for Event #1. For Event #2, yes. ☺

Is it only the pages read from Oct. 4 to 19 that count?

Meaning that if I started a 400 page book and had read about 200 of them that only 200 would qualify and not the total 400

Ok I didnt read anything from 9/30-10/6. So should be clear on that part.

Ok, maybe I don't understand, but wouldn't our numbers be better if you left your goal and just exceeded it? I thought we got rated on how far over our goal we went (or how close to it we got)? Wouldn't it be better to leave the original goal? This is my first RAT so maybe I just don't get it.

The page goal you set for the R-a-T is for you, personally, it doesn't affect the R-a-T points. That is based on your yearly goal.
