I have posted the first prize draw opportunity for Ethereal. Unlike the head-scratching mystery riddle, this is merely a topical discussion on books, films, or anything that brought you solace or joy when you needed it. Perhaps uncanny places you encountered it.
I've opened this story-sharing up to everyone who reads my blog. Members of Ethereal should announce themselves in the comment box of the post and I will draw from among everyone who shares. I hope you find it to be a good match for the nature of this group. But it would do me good to find many chiming in whether they're in this group or not. https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2015/0...

To ensure there are enough participating to make a draw worthwhile: I have posted a disscussion about momentous catalysts, as Ethereal's first activity and for EVERYONE KEEN ON THE ACTIVITY! My examples are about being lifted from sorrow. A few kind souls have utilized the post to drop a note of support because I shared that July 31 is a hard day around the corner.
However: please don't hesitate to chime in on the root topic in any manner that you relate. Is there an uncanny story about choosing the person you married, an invaluable friend for life, the inspiration for your career, a hobby or talent you wouldn't have considered; without a book / film / person / event that sparked it? https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2015/0...

Trying again! I am using the following SIMPLE activity as a prize draw for members of Ethereal but the discussion is open to everyone and everybody who finds themselves interested in my post. It's worth adding your two cents because if all of my Ethereal people are still busy or away on vacation; it might behoove me to do a draw for anyone who shared their feedback! My posts are open to everyone's discussion always. There's no time limit for that. Yours truly, Carolyn. https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2015/0...
Very well. This very simple prize entry opportunity is being closed with no takers. Should any part of it have been unclear: one could ask me here, at my blog, or by e-mail. All there was to it was sharing (not limited to a book) any film, television program, person, or any moment at all that made an impact on your life. This was also open to participants of ANY of my groups, ANY of my subscribers at Goodreads or my blog, and indeed ANY person who happened by the post. It was geared for Ethereal, because each group is offered some kind of contest but I have always attested that every article I write is greatly rewarded by hearing from ANYBODY about them at any time. Indeed, if my Ethereal folks weren't in force, I might have instead awarded a prize to any other blog post visitor. A heads up for future things. Comments are valuble to me on ANYTHING I write, from anyone.
I will verify with my members of that particular group if the subject is disinteresting, or whether this was indeed a case of summertime holidaying and leisure away from computer screens. I was hesitant to start contests during summer but had one member, from My Kind Of Mystery urge me to get things started. If members are content for me to reprise this subject when snow flies, I'm happy to do that or change the topic altogether. Gentle Spectrums is now due for an activity. This begs the question: is this really not a good time, or should I go ahead with a topic inviting participation? :) Yours, basking in her own warm whether over here, Carolyn.

Here is a long-coming article I have written, suited to any of our groups. Whether Ethereal, My Kind Of Mystery, or the endless genres Gentle Spectrums traverses; it is about a gap in what I consider my ultimate favourite book! I hope you enjoy it and comment actively. After all: November 18th is your hostess' birthday! :-) https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2015/1...
I am astonished that gap is filled, thanks to Shonna's comment to my post! Good things happen when you answer my posts. I am so pleased, I blogged anew. She has honestly relieved a 30 year search for good adult ghost literature! https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2015/1...
If you like ghost stories for grown-ups and were as tired of 20 year-old romance angles as I was; be sure to browse that very long-awaited list! I worked hard too, using Shonna's great author name as a launching point; siphoning out the best of the best. I don't want "evil threatening the town" or a family, nor violence; just an enthralling story in which a ghost appears to AN ADULT - somehow. There are 22 names, after decades of knowing none! Best of all, they're quite current.
It wasn't a contest but Shonna sure was a help. Shonna, please revisit that post. I tried for half an hour to leave you a glowing comment at your "Bristol House" review but I am forced to give up on Blogspot blogs that use the standard comment box. I don't know if you're aware that captcha verification is activated but it doesn't let you go after one run-through. It asks you again and again to "click all the pictures with street signs", then to copy & paste a paragraph of code.... with no box to dump it. I'm going to have to ask everyone to follow along and keep in touch here, or through my Wordpress blog. Anyway, I wanted you to know I have additional grateful words for you there.
Here is an eagerly anticipated discussion I have looked forward to sharing with anyone and everyone. https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2015/1...

Commented on the blog post, although I partake in the mystery challenge and not ethereal
Everything I write is for everyone. You're an Ethereal reader like me regardless and as I often see, so are many. There was no contest to that but I love enticing discussion no matter what and always hope I do. Thank you for your input!
My summary for ETHEREAL is finished! If you'd like to look at what our circle has read so far, the titles that have been handed in are here. What's more, I am giving a preview of my beautiful new banner for Ethereal 2016! https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2015/1...
* Please know I am not a graphics person. I look through free wallpaper, or famous book covers in the case of My Kind Of Mystery, until the right images stand out for me. Then, having figured out how to accomplish this, I spend quite a lot of time inserting my name and dates nicely.

I was thrilled to see this group grow in our second year, along with Gentle Spectrums. They are nearly equal now and are only a little fewer than My Kind Of Mystery. It is an easy theme to fulfill: anything beyond the physical norm. It includes intelligent animals and for example, a novel featuring someone like a nun. Odd phenomenon doesn't need to occur. The spiritual environment is enough to count as something metaphysical. Don't forget that fantasy most certainly counts as otherwordly too.
