Jamal Benjamin | 1 comments Hello, My name is Jamal A Benjamin. Run and Gun is my first novel and I would like to recommend this exciting and new kind of urban tale for November's selection. Run & Gun If selected I would be readily available for book discussions.

Kanita Carington-McDonald (kanitacaringtonmcdonald) | 44 comments Hey everyone!
I'm really leaning towards:
Gone Girl, The Supremes at Earl's All-You-Can-Eat, Orange Mint and Honey, This Side Of The Sky
But, I'd like to throw a few others out there for consideration:
Be Still & Know by Cassietta Jefferson Wading Home A Novel of New Orleans by Rosalyn Story One in a Million by Kimberla Lawson Roby A Deep Dark Secret by Kimberla Lawson Roby Sleeping with Strangers (Gideon, #1) by Eric Jerome Dickey Casanegra (Tennyson Hardwick, #1) by Blair Underwood

Hey!! Those are the same two titles I started zeroing in on... Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn Gone Girl & Sleeping with Strangers (Gideon, #1) by Eric Jerome Dickey Sleeping With Strangers! Guess I'm in the mood for some mystery & suspense; but, I'm flexible cause they all look great!!

Yeah, me too! I have not read one in a while.

message 17: by Leslie (new)

Leslie Nicole | 53 comments 12 Tribes of Hattie
12 years a slave

message 18: by Carolyn (new)

Carolyn Alleyne | 75 comments This is the second time I borrowed Gone girl from the library and it was my next read so I would like to cast my vote for it. I started reading sleeping with strangers a while back and I was not feeling it so I definitely have no interest in that one. However, if we choose that, it just means I will have lots to talk about, lol. I am open to the other suggestions.

More great suggestions, Leslie! The Twelve Tribes of Hattie is great and Twelve Years a Slave would be a very good and timely selection! It is now a movie which opened in theaters this month! I really want to see the movie but I want to read the book first.

We did come up with a good list. It was really hard to choose.

Leslie Nicole | 53 comments Gone Girl was a good read, had me wanting to jump in the book and choke some folks. I am currently reading 'Act of Grace' for another book club. So what are we reading for November

The poll is still open until the 31st but it looks like Gone Girl is in the lead.
