Thanks for your speedy response!
Her first novel, Beware of Love in Technicolor, is the New Adult coming-of-age story about Greer Bennett, a freshman in college, and most definitely a freshman when it comes to love and sex. Released in June of 2013, it is the first book in the Beware of Love series, following Greer through two years of college and the craziness that comes with it: love, sex, parties, and friendship. Kirstie is currently working on the second book, where things really start to get intense as Greer puts her new-found ease with the O to the test, racks up unimaginable credit card debt, and struggles with the subtle differences between love and lust. All set in the nineties, of course, and with all the requisite 90s references. Release date for the second book in the Beware of Love series is January 2014.
Kirstie is also working on another novel, an experiment in writing without any sort of plan other than what can fit in her head. No notes, not plot outlines, no character sketches. It is called Evolution of a Story, and you can read along as she writes it on her blog at http://kirstiecollinsbrote.wordpress..... It is a quirky story about a reluctant medium, two dead women who won’t leave her alone, and a vintage Pucci handbag with a big secret. It is a lot of fun.
Kirstie’s blog (http://kirstiecollinsbrote.wordpress....) is where you can get sneak peeks from the upcoming novel, excerpts that were cut from the original Beware of Love in Technicolor, and now that Kirstie is living in the same college town that inspired Greer’s story, photos from special places are known to pop up once in a while. You may even find some rants about the writing life, musings on the meaning of life, flash fiction, and some love for Beverly Hills 90210 and Sharknado.
You can also come by the Beware of Love in Technicolor Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/BewareOfLove...) to say hello.
