I won't be joining in, as not particularly a fan, however I did thoroughly enjoy Plain Truth by her, is any one giving that one a go?

Not read it. What's it about? I quite like Lone Wolf so far.

It's about the Amish and a murder/death. I'm probably biased because I do like reading things about the Amish.

EDIT: Forgot this was Spoilers Allowed, I was trying to be all cloak and dagger! Haha

So basically the teen daughter delivers a baby which later dies and it's basically trying to find out who's the baby is and how it died.

Sounds interesting but not too keen on baby death stories.

I do want to read House Rules though. About a boy with Aspergers accused of murder.

I'm not a fan either but have just bought Plain Truth on the strength of your recommendation and precis :D

Plain Truth is definitely one of her best ones. I read Lone Wolf recently and quite liked that too. I might start on The Storyteller in November and if I have time, House Rules.

I've just read Nineteen Minutes which is about a school shooting, and the years in the life of a boy which lead up to it. This is the second Jodi Picoult I've read (the other being Lone Wolf) and I found both totally gripping until the end, when they each disappointed me. In Nineteen Minutes the final twist just didn't ring true and characters I'd lived with all through the story were summarily dismissed to prison with barely a backwards glance.
I'm keen enough to see what others my library has to offer though.

The only other one of Jodi Picoult's novels I've read is My Sister's Keeper which was gripping, but I didn't like the ending.

She certainly knows how to write a book that keeps you turning the pages though. I'm keen to get back to Lone Wolf this morning :)

Thoroughly enjoyable "what would you do in this situation?" type novel.

Well written, very enjoyable. I was sorry to come to the end.

Has anyone seen the movie of this book? I found myself imagining Alex Baldwin as I read it, so I was pleased with the casting. The film has the usual problem of not being able to fit everything in, but what was covered was close to the scenes in the book.

I am a mini-fan (if there is such a thing) of Jodi Picoult, although I haven't yet readThe Storyteller.

I love Jodi Picoult! I just finished Lone Wolf - only one of her books I haven't read now is The Storyteller, waiting for it to come out in paperback :)

The Jodi Picoult read along book thread is still open. We have just had a tidy up of the home page and marked Lone Wolf as read, in order for the Group Read books to show up. But the read along is still running until the end of December.

I really like her books. I'm like you Nicola, have read them all and waiting for the paperback of Storyteller to come out. I think Nineteen Minutes is my favourite.

Finished Lone Wolf. I can't link to my review on the app, but gave it 2 stars as I found it a bit melodramatic, with underwritten characters and the wolf pack/human family parallels hammered home with a sledgehammer. After hating Picture Perfect too, I think it's time for me to part ways with this author.
