What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I rememeber reading a book in about second grade, that I have been looking for for a very long time. I can only remember snip-its: A girl lives with her grand mother in an old house, the faeries became flowers during the day...I remember a tea party being prominent...
I thought the book was called "The Flower Fairies", but I've looked and cannot find it anywhere. Help!

Cicely Mary Barker wrote several books about flower fairies. Could it be one of those?

I was thinking that also, but in her stories, the fairies did not turn in to flowers or vice-versa. But on the off chance it actually was written by Barker, the one story of hers this description comes closes to IMO is her "The Fairy Necklaces" found in The Complete Book of the Flower Fairies

Is it a Fary Realm book? Fairy Realm #2 The Flower Fairies by Emily Rodda, 2003.

Summary: Jessie returns to the magical world where her grandmother was born, where she deals with some griffins, dances with fairies, and borrows something to help her dance in her school concert.

Flower Fairies of the Summer by Cicely Mary Barker. 1991 There's a ton of book by her about fairies, if you do a search on goodreads you'll find plenty of titles.

There's a Flower Fairies series. Wild Cherry Makes a Wish Flower Fairies Chapter book #4 by Pippa Le Quesne. 2002

Tales from the Flower Fairy Garden

This is a bit oblique, but Kerry Greenwood's Away With The Fairies Phryne Fisher has a character who writes and illustrates books like the one you're describing -- I think the author's bibliography at the end may list some actual publications that she was basing it on.
