Chrissie I cant tell you how much I enjoyed Tony & Claire.
This was with out a doubt my number 1 read of 2013, I'm sorry Caleb (Captive in the Dark - C.J Roberts) but Tony has knocked you of my number 1 spot!!!

Terri (N.J.) My thoughts exactly. Caleb was my #1 book also...But now #2. This was an AMAZING story! It came together so perfectly. My bar has been set high with this one.

LoveofWords I absolutely LOVED this series! I do, however, hate the fact that once I'm done reading something so well written and captivating, that I have a hard time finding my next book! I have sampled about 10 books the past week and yet I cant seem to get into any of them. Any recommendations for something as good as Tony and Claire's story?

Lynette Loved the story overall, it was on my favourites shelf until book 3 but then it slipped a bit. Not because I didn't like the ending but because book 3 was just too drawn out in the middle. I think book 3 should have shed about 100 pages or so, this is often the case with trilogies I find.

I agree with you, Lynette. The 1st 2 were great. The 3rd was good but not as great as the others. I still loved the story line. I just could have done without the different perspectives in the book. Meredith's perspective, Phil's perspective, Harry's perspective,Sophia's etc etc. It was too much info that I felt was unnecessary. I still enjoyed it, though. This book was a lot easier for me to put down than the other 2.

Nikki I just read Undersetimated by Jettie Woodruff. I thought it was a great book along the same lines as the Consequences trilogy. Did anyone else read it and liked it? Thanks.

Loved that book. One of my favorites. I loved that it was different and unpredictable. Need more like that.

Nikki Thanks Terri. I didn't understand why she didn't want to spend more time with her Grandfather. He did help her and attempted to look after her the entire book.

Also, why she never went look for her brother...I would have thought she would have at least searched him out.

And one more, Rebecca...after Rebecca helped her escape she was never mentioned...wouldn't you think she would at least ask Drew about her?

Just my thoughts.

OK now you got me wanting to re-read this to refresh my memory. LOL. I do remember about Rebecca, that was weird that she wasn't mentioned. I did love it though. Keep me in mind if you come across anything else like this. :)

Nikki Will do!!! I'm rereading it now...all the "good" parts that is. Ha.

I looked at your books list, It seems we like the same kind of books. None of my friends love my dark erotica books that I tend to love. Thanks!!!

I totally agree...best book series! I wish there was more! Exceeds Fifty Shades any day!

Kalanisi I have to admit that next to the The Dark Duet series, this one was absolutely the best series I've read in a long, long time.. Loved it !!!
I will definitely go back to it next year :)

Dreamer Tony and Caleb have definitely been my book boyfriends of 2013!!!
Also loved the Spiral of Bliss series (book three still not out yet) and Dean is my third book boyfriend of the year. But the story is not at all dark like this!

Dreamer Also, another book I can recommend is Unteachable. It's a taboo romance book, definitely worth the read :)

Kalanisi Rana I can't agree more :D
I haven't heard of the other books you've mentioned.. I will check them out. Thank you :)

I totally agree with you. I even read another book while half way through Convicted and then went back to it.

Lynette - ITA with you. I was skimming the last 30%. Just too long and drawn out. Disappointing end to a great series.

Maria Check out J.A. Huss Tragic trilogy (all 3 books are out) and also Addicted to You - krista & Becca ritchie (there's 5 books only 2 left to come out - a novella and the final book) plus 2 spin-offs that I can't wait to read. Not the same kind of story but in my opinion very different to what is out there, just like this series. Well written too.

Dee Georgette I agree, this trilogy was a surprise indeed. I picked book 1 up on book bub for .99. I was hooked! What a surprise, I was hooked from page 1.

You can try "Love me with lies"series by Tarryn Fisher.

Did not read Captive BUT I am addicted to this series. I am also reading BHE I soo wanted more.

Lucy Mind blowing, total off the charts, did not know what was coming next. Going to read BHE too, worrid about getting in the mind of Tony especially in those early days but yes in asnwer to the original question. Loved this series. Brilliant!!!!!!

I was wondering the same. Also, The grandfather wanted them to have a child and then when she escaped - he said she was in Europe and that was ok. Lots of things just did not seem resolved. Even when she went back to the old trailer and met her cousin - I did not get the impression she had family left at the trailer park. Anywho, I guess we all have unresolved things in life.

This is exactly what i fell.... how am I going to find another good book to read?...

Marianne OH my gosh, I love this series, so much in 5 days I have read book 1,2 & halfway through book 3. I am up to the part where Tony & Claire are united on the beach..with all the ups and downs I am enjoying them being together, but I am sure that won't last long... it's upsetting reading about her in 2016, but I guess she is put there for her protection?... oh my gosh I am loving this series so much...I am hooked!!!!! Has anyone also read the 4th series, Behind his eyes????

message 27: by Sam (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sam I just LOVED it!!!!!!

Assia I also loved sins & needles trilogy though I was in a team and the other team guy won the girl I was devastated!! I love it though.

I read the 4th one behind his eyes, yep still my favourite :)

Marianne Okay in 7 days have read consequences, truth & convicted!!!oh my gosh it's 2am now, I just had to finish book 3. I was so emotional, but it was my favourite book of the series. It would be great if a movie was made from this. Just lived it. Now contemplating to read book 4,5 & 6 Behind his dyes!!

Sarah I have to be honest but I was disappointed with Convicted. I felt like there was such a lead up and the ending fell flat. I enjoyed books 1 and 2 but by the 3rd I just felt the whole story line was drawn out.

I know how you feel to the extend I felt Julia and her husband were wiped out and killed and I was sad how Tony reaction towards Julia was when he got out of prison, yes he gave herb everything but himself. Hasn't Claire been through enough???. I was hesitant to read book 1 Consequences behind his eyes, just finished the book yesterday, honestly I feel really sad, reading what was going on in Tony's head, I HATE the guy…. will you read book 4,5 & 6?

Բռɠε£ })i({ Ɖɑʋɩς I really hated Tony until I started reading Convicted. I mean why would a woman want someone after everything Tony did to her? Then I felt sorry for him after he went to the bank in Geneva but I'm not finished yet, so until I'm done..

Tasmiah Khan I think I am the minority here, but even after convicted I still hate Tony, Caleb is still on my #1 spot, yes Tony redeems himself in truth and becomes even better in Convicted (confessing everything, and offering Claire to set her free and all) but I dont know I still hate him, probably because I am reading Behind his eyes(consequences) now and I just cant not hate him with all that goes on in his mind.I cant help but think what if Claire had chosen her freedom instead of the engagement ring? and what if Claire hadent got pregnant? Then she would have had a choice not to be with him??? With all that said I still love this series and having a hard time to find my next read everything else seems bleak compared to this

Michelle °O° I really enjoyed this series. I had never read one like this and couldn't believe how I went from hating Tony to actually rooting for him in the end.

That is why I am afraid to read Behind His Eyes.... I am Team Tony and afraid I will hate him again

Ruth I recently read this series...LOVED it..blew my mind!!! And yes, I ended up loving Tony..the writing was exceptional!!

Shomeli Dey the trilogy has everything a good thriller asks for but i have encountered inconsistencies in the book(not technical but story and character wise):spoilers ahead
1.claire was not able to explain herself correctly before the "accident" unlike the barbeque incident...
2.claire was shown as sensitive and receptive to others in consequences( eg.rebuking emily for questioning her in the limousine before shopping but quickly soothes her over)but this behavior takes a nosedive in truth with john, emily and especially harry, which seems to me like a emotional cycle initiated due to tony's influence(eg. she doesn't seem patient and bothered enough to explain her instincts to trust tony to emily and john.she fails to see the signs of jealousy in harry before sleeping with him and believing she will not lead him on)
3. harry left his wife and later his child over his career in FBI and now we see in CONVICTED that he jeopardizes his career and and case just to be with claire in TRUTH(despite the fact that he was not that emotionally involved) it is very hard to be believable to me.
4. catherine it seems have forgotten all about sophia in BHE-MISSING YEARS.....
what say u people?
