On the desktop, on the upper right corner above the comment box there is a link that says in little letters "add book/author" - click on it and then type in the book or author you are looking for & voila!

If you really want to, you can add links from the phone app by typing in the code which is [book:type title here]

I will be reading My Cousin Rachel this year, but it won't count for this challenge as I will have to get it from the library... I will be interested in hearing how you like it.

C. (Comment, never msg). (riedel) I may start Daphne this year too.

C. (Comment, never msg). (riedel) I collected a good dose of Daphne; one looks rather too political. It's great to know one is a breeze and/or enjoyable.

C. (Comment, never msg). (riedel) I was referring to her other one called something similar to "Brittanica". I buy them all at a bargain. My personal library is a building separate from our house, so I'd have to don a robe in the dark and snow to check the title. It's 7:07AM but the sun hasn't risen yet. ;) (Also, that's how many unread books I own. How's that for spooky)?

You have my curiousity to hear "My Cousin Rachel" is that good. I'll be all the more excited to read it and talk it over with you, Aishie! It didn't give the impression of being spooky. Call me Carolyn and get better soon, my dear!

C. (Comment, never msg). (riedel) That was fast, new friend. :) When I saw you are Irish, which is part of my heritage, I said "Why haven't I connected with her already"? I'd love to see Ireland! Heck, I'm in the Irish reading challenge. I'll put up my 2014 thread, then show pictures of our little building.

Our cats lounge in the library more than anyone - there's a couch and carpet, a small cute place. Attached is a small workshop room for my fiancé's tools. House is small so I agreed to buy it because the "extra room" isn't missing. Thanks to you, I'm going to read "Rachel" in the next few books. I rarely have anyone whose read the same thing; at least not when we get around to chatting about it. http://cmriedel.wordpress.com/riedel-...

C. (Comment, never msg). (riedel) Cork? You might say additional challenges has made family too! My great-grandfather is from that county. Exactly where is a mystery! Why he left, with whom. Mom & I are big on family research and know a good deal about all sides, except that which is supposed to hail from Cork.... I believe you can see my e-mail address on my profile. Would be fun to learn more about your region and you. :)

Elle (louiselesley) You are going well! Cork is a long way from me but I do like going to visit friends there.

Elle (louiselesley) They move around a lot so quite a few places. They currently live in Mayfield! I live up North in Belfast so it's a long drive for me!

C. (Comment, never msg). (riedel) You're Irish too Elle? The words "UK" and "British" are so broad and general for North Americans. I couldn't tell you weren't in England / Scotland / Wales. Lovely! I hope both of you ladies, my new friends, tell me all about the Irish part of my heritage. :)

message 10: by Elle (new)

Elle (louiselesley) Northern Irish! I am part of the UK, we use the pound and follow all the British rules. It's different in Southern Ireland where they have their own rule and use the Euro! It's confusing I know, but I am British!

C. (Comment, never msg). (riedel) I know Belfast is northern Ireland. Your profile didn't say. Canadians are aware of cultures, whereas I don't doubt you're used to explaining to non-Europeans what's what. I'm accustomed to people knowing squat about Canada - I get it! ;) I drove through Scotland and England myself, know them better than most.

I meant when you're solely listed as "UK" or "Britain"; one can't tell which of the four countries is your home. Awesome that it's Ireland! :)

Aishie, you've made a terrific start! I'll see you at the top of Everest!

C. (Comment, never msg). (riedel) Top of the morning to you. I think my Mount TRB blog page, where I show reviews, is updated or will be soon. :) http://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2013/11...

C. (Comment, never msg). (riedel) Top of the morning to you, on this fine day of my heritage, Aishie! Since part of my family are indeed Patricks, we do so love to celebrate. Green is such a fresh, hopeful, bright colour. My parents sent a card last week. Since I have a present for them, my fiancé is hand-delivering greetings from me, after work in the city. I wish you all blessings, health, good fun, and luck!

A few tried their luck at my first riddle. Posting a write-up on the answer was fun. :) It's nice to see the titles others are posting here. Happy St. Patrick's day, from a Cork descendent in prairie Canada! Yours Truly, Carolyn http://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2014/03...

C. (Comment, never msg). (riedel) If only there were ratings to the side of everyone's lists. ;) Then I wouldn't have to click on them (in addition to every thread) to know how much you liked "The Thirteenth Tale". It looks good and it's one I have.

I think you missed my message but I wished everyone a happy 'St. P' even earlier on March 17, as well as replied to yours. :)

C. (Comment, never msg). (riedel) Really Aishie? That's a wonderful endorsement about that novel! I've owned it a good 5 years at least. Yes, half my family are Patricks and if not my brothers, Mom & I do cards and treats back and forth. Yes, if everyone would do an easy text rating (you see my list now, I believe), it's nice to spot 4/5 and 5/5 at a glance. At least we, struggling with dial-up. When I've read the same, then I peek at reviews.

Don't laugh but I tend to read hardcovers last because they look great on my shelf. I don't know if "The Thirteenth Tale" is paranormal but I'm ignoring the hardcover tradition by reading a good few of mine recently, because they are ghost stories.
