Let's say in music; in 60s there was this flower power era; flooded by hippies and peace stoners; listening to Jefferson Airplane, hanging out in Woodstock. Then there was Beatles, The Doors and some jumpy old school bands that rocked them to wet shoes. They grew up listening to them; they must have visioned the evolution in that music that belong to that genre; but it evolved to 10000s of different genres; starting from Brutal Death Metal to Funeral Doom metal, Glitch-core to Dubstep; fast-rap to autotune pop etc; it's all a weird transformation for all of the previous generations. And it's only about music. Then there are movies, sports, books, general ideologies etc influenced by all of these new metamorphosis.
Think, we're a part of a step ahead. Got so many options to choose from we don't bother anymore. We gather music and movies but get not enough time to watch them; the emotional attachment towards everything gets divided to so many little pieces you don't hold onto them even for a day; Leaving most confused. There was a time when it was 'cool' to be 'weird'; mostly in late 90s and early 00s; it disappeared (kind of lol). Now it's cool to 'not giving a damn'; wonder how this works out; the DILLIGAF plan; must be an introvert initiative!
Arr, rants aside; I believe we're still ascending not in the way it was predicted; better way or not only your choices can make you decide what it is; what we become is always a part of our problem and also the solution (err please decipher lol)....
And nope we're not taking a step back,...err it's 'almost' impossible ('almost' calls for time machine's involvement!).... ...
Sensing a tl;dr situation!
