I haven't seen the real thing but it looks absolutely amazing. Did they do a good job reproducing the paper and ink of the manuscript?It's already sold out Amazon.fr. It was €189 IIRC and as you would expect resellers are now asking for substantially more. And it'll only rise since it's a limited edition (1,200 copies IIRC).

It was in a box, so I couldn't check what it looked like. The descriptions certainly make it sound pretty amazing. Not surprised to hear it's already sold out on Amazon!
Antoine Compagnon spoke about this book at the Columbia University conference. Not sure if it will be on the actual video of the event (which still hasn't been uploaded), but it had everyone "a buzz." Especially the #1200!Even without translation, I picked that up. ;)

It is absolutely not a "poche" - it is huge! Look at the video on the bottom left-hand corner of the Gallimard page...
Yes...18 by 12 inches is a huge tome!I was thinking about getting the Kindle version, but noticed the word, "Poche" and was curious about that "format" for only 7,79.
Is it the same size, but in paperback?

I saw it yesterday in a Geneva bookstore, prominently displayed in the middle of the window. I drooled. I positively drooled.
Price: 300 Swiss francs = 325 US dollars. But it looks like it's worth it.
