Nice! Lots of time to find a good x title, no worries. :)

Of course there is still X."
My feelings, exactly!
X is a tuff one. Last year Kathy saved me in late December with the recommendation of Xingu (quite entertaining). This year I've got my X read ready to go. It's Xenocide, which is the third book in the Ender's Game Series. It's Q I'm still hunting.
I'm a little late, but I'd like to sign up for this. I'd like to count the books I've already read in January .

Definitely an interesting and chic challenge. Makes reading more fun and intriguing ! :)

It really does! Hunting for a title with one of those hard to get letters makes you read books you might never have otherwise. I had fun with it last year, for sure :).
Scavenger Hunt! We have two women about to win! Need more hunters, with more items to add to the list of the things to collect. Consider joining ;-).
heh ~

Hey, MK.. apologies for a late reply. I seemed to have missed the notification.
I haven't really got to a Y or a X as yet, so still trespassing the easy territories.. but I can understand what you are saying and I hope I can complete the whole challenge without such hurdles on the way. :)
.. and thank you so much from getting 'Scavenger Hunt' to my attention.. it seems mighty interesting. I would definitely want to join in. Though, I am slightly confused if Round I is finished or not as I seem to see a winner already declared and Round II being put up. (Guess I can join Round II) Kindly correct me if I am mistaken (though I will read through the rules in detail)
Also we can take the discussion onto that thread, if this post of mine is spamming this one. :)
Appreciate your work and your ideas.. kudos and sincere thanks ! :)

Hi Apoorv! "Round One" is definitely still open! Only one person has completed it. Just closed to adding new items. I tentatively opened a second round, hoping to build a second list, so those who have finished and love hunting can still participate.
So, feel free to jump in and start collecting items on the round one list. Add new items to round two list.
I probably should have congratulated Connie on finishing, rather than winning, as it seems to connote the end of collecting. I guess I got swept away by Olympic jargon (she finished her list the same weekend the Winter Olympics ended ;-).)
I need to think of better wording there, obviously. :-))
PS - I'll copy this into the Scavenger Hunt thread too ...

A. Alexander's Bridge by Willa Cather 2/04/14

I downloaded this book while looking for free classics on my Kindle. I came across this book and figured I would use it for my letter "Y". I had no idea how long the story was till I started reading (about 2 hours reading). It is an extremely well written story about a young woman's mental slide from reality. I still recommend it even if not used for this challenge.

Just putting this link here so I can remember some X choices:
https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/6...
Only 9 letters remaining and of course, one of them is X! And I read Xingu last year, so I probably need to choose a different title for this year.
