Also, there have been several comments in the aboved mentioned group of incorrect information found on Amazon.
**You don't have to be a librarian to join the librarian group, and I'm sure it's just an oversight that a librarian is not part of the librarian group, yet.**
When there is conflict between Amazon and the author; should go with the author.
I do agree that the order is strange and understand why there is confusion. I think those Dream-Hunter books listed and counted as Dark-Hunter books should be ordered with Dream-Hunter, but--for whatever reason--the author feels differently.
If anyone notices it changes, please drop me a note or any librarian or post to the GR Librarian Group; there's a topic started on Sherrilyn Kenyon.
Thank you and happy reading to you all.

In my opinion, this new order is a mess. Turns me off looking at it and trying to make heads or tails out of what appears to be confusion. Ugh!

And l just noticed there's a book called fear of the darkness which l didn't know was even there!!
I am really enjoying the series however I am now disappointed cos l am not reading them in order

It's a really good series l just finished "Devil may cry" can't wait to read Acheron heard its the best one!

Why did you list the Chronicles of Nick books intermixed with the Dark/Dream/Were Hunter books? I found it interesting. I've only read the first Nick book but have not read the series since No Mercy.
There are bits and pieces within the Chronicles of Nick that tie into and relate to the Dark Hunter stories.

I guess that late in the series it wouldn't make a difference. I think I was considering the first book being about Nick as a HS kid and that messing people up. Nice job on the listing, looked good
I know what you mean, it seems kind of weird, but it's just more insight into the characters and some of their pasts!
Thank you!! :)
Thank you!! :)

That one does overlap (it's from a different point of view but the same story) a bit, but otherwise for the most part they don't. I think Z's story start and the wolf brothers when their sister goes into labor and Acheron & one of the DH's show up to help them in the woods, are the two bits of story that is repeated (just from different points of view). I may be wrong, it's been so long since I read this series.

some of the books it will not matter when they're read, but many of them it will. For story continuity many of them are meant to be read after others, such as the wolf's stories. Bits of the characters that you learn get spoiled if read out of order. To each their own, some people read a story out of order and just deal with it, others cannot without getting things confused, and others don't really care.

Missyb, you are right, that for some it may be confusing. Luckily I don't have problems with it and should I win in Lotto I would probably buy the hole series and do exactly that, read it from front to back. I noticed though that since I read Acheron, his appearances in the previous books make more sense. It is not that I had my suspicions about him but I kind of did not put too much thought into his secrecy. Anyway, I do care about the chronology but as I said I jumped into that series pretty late so a lot of the books had been written when I borrowed Vane and Brides story from the library because I liked the back of the book and had not heard of SK before. Then I read another one where Vane was mentioned and I realized this was a series, which then got me to look for other books. Due to the availability I cannot choose which ones I want to read next. Since I am here on goodread I have an instrument to actually follow up which I have read and who it is about.
I do read other series as well and not neccessarily in their order either. Keeps my little grey cells working ;o)!!!

I have read every one - most in "paper" book form but the last 5 maybe as e-books
I followed the reading order and have enjoyed it for the most part... like all series some books are just better then others - but i don't let that taint the series
the only ones I have not read are the "nick" books - they seem to YA for me
