Lynx ~ 10/1 Never Forgotten | 4557 comments Okay everyone, people are always coming to me or other Gamemakers and saying, 'Hey! Can I run my own arena? I have an idea for one, see?! *insert arena here*'. Rather than telling everyone to wait until the next Gamemaker Contest(which are now discontinued), here is what you can do to be allowed to create your own arena, and also be a moderator:

1) Be active in an arena
2) Be more than just active, be creative and helpful to your fellow group members!

Got that? That's all that you can do within your power. Here's the rest of the process:

1) The arena you are in, well, the Gamemaker of that arena gets to pick two roleplayers from their arena and give their names to a moderator. The first one is their top pick, the second is a backup. What are these people for, you ask? Well, those are those active, creative members and they get the chance now to create and operate their own arena!
2) Should the first person decline the offer of a position as moderator and Gamemaker for the duration of their arena, the second person will be offered the position. Whichever accepts, whether first or second option, gets partnered up with one of the Master Gamemakers(the moderators who rarely swap out). They also get added temporarily as a moderator for ease of arena running.
3) With the guidance of the Master Gamemaker partnered with you, you get to set up, develop, and finally create your own arena. You get free reign over how your arena is run. You get to pick the number of topics, whether there is pre-arena things more than just a training center, etc. it's completely up to you and your Master Gamemaker how it is run.
4) Well, that's about it. Other than killing people, of course. Wouldn't be any fun otherwise! Just don't forget - now that you're over an arena, you have to keep your eyes open for who you will select once your arena comes to a close!

Now, there are some basic rules for this process...
1) Obviously, no choosing yourself...
2) Any big things are to be reported to the Master Gamemaker on the team. Remember, they are your mentor of sorts during the process. If you don't know what to do about a scenario or anything, go to them. If it requires more help, they can come to me.
3) Just because you're a Gamemaker doesn't mean you can play God and kill people without giving them a chance to defend. Remember, they want a show. Let the tributes have a little panic time.
4) No picking someone currently running an arena, or the person who chose you. Try to change things up so more people get a chance
5) Listen to your Master Gamemaker, they know what they are doing and can help you if you put effort into your arena.

Now a Q&A session:
1) Q: My arena died! What happens now?
A: Well, you no longer get to pick a successor. Instead, a Gamemaker will get the chance to create an arena or select someone from a different arena to create the next arena.
2) Q: I will be gone for a while, who takes care of things while I'm gone?
A: Give your Master Gamemaker a week or two warning if possible. They will manage your arena while you are gone, and if they can't a different Master Gamemaker will fill in for you.
3) Q: Can I have a tribute in my own arena?
A: Of course! Just remember, your tribute doesn't know the arena. Try not to give them no more of an advantage then a tribute of anyone else's.

Okay, I believe that's it! If you have any questions, comments, or concerns don't hesitate to ask.
