Ethan (platypopper) Alright, so I'm just wondering if anyone here can give me some bands along the lines of Mumford and Sons, the Avett brothers, Of Monsters and Men... that kind of thing, folksy, acoustic, i also like singer songwriters like Bon Iver, Angus and Julia Stone and Ed Sheeran.

Ethan (platypopper) Is that all one, or two bands?

I felt that I was the only person in the world who was heard of Gabrielle Aplin.

talltyrion The National is fantastic; that's what I was forgetting!

message 9: by Ethan (new)

Ethan (platypopper) I've heard a couple of these, but I'll check out some of the ones that I didn't know. Thanks!!!

Everyone above has excellent choices (Gabrielle Aplin, YES) so I don't have many to add, but The Lumineers, The Wailin' Jennys, and perhaps Philip Philips are good as well.

message 11: by Ethan (new)

Ethan (platypopper) I've listened to all of those except The Wailin' Jennys.
