They're cute, but it's gotten to the point that everyone feels that they have to "outdo" everyone else. And it kind of forces the person to say yes. I mean, what else can they do? Say no and publicly break a heart?

But I feel like that would be kind of leading the person on.

Yeah, but if you do that much and put that person in that kind of postion, then you sorta deserve that humiliation.

Some movie influence is all it is lol, would be too unreal, funny to see one in RL

As to public proposals I'm a romantic I guess it is fine I wouldn't do it unless I knew the person I was proposing to would like it!

I think they're cute if you have been with the person a long time and know that they feel the same way you do. But hey most proposals are kind of public anyway.

I don't like the idea. There's so much pressure for the person to say Yes, like you'd be ruining the moment for the crowd if you didn't. It isn't the crowd's moment. Things like that should be very private in my opinion.

I know but no matter where you propose even if it's not recorded there will be someone walking past or numerous people eating.

I think they are cute. They are a little outdone though. If your like me, and like to be given nice things, but don't like that public spotlight, then you need to be proposed to in private. If somebody proposed in public I'd go beserk. Unless it was really cute and Cheesy. Like at the bottom of a wine glass or tea cup.

If people are in their home it doesn't someone won't walk past and look in the window randomly or if in a rural area drive past.
