Shanna_redwind I'm looking for some good 2 player games for the ps3.

I prefer games that you can play the whole campaign rather than ones that have a few scenarios. I like split screen first person shooters, but feel free to suggest other games you like as well.

We really enjoyed the Resistance games, and the Call of Duty World at War is all right, but I'd rather play a sci-fi or fantasy.

Thanks.

sweetPixiesmile | 20 comments Are you asking about co-op play or just competitive multiplayer or both?

Below I've listed some co-op campaign games.

Little Big Planet 1 & 2 for co-op platformer.

If you like FPS or TPS, most Call of Duty after WaW have local co-op split screen mode for two players (I think the online allows for more? Nor sure.) Also, Borderlands2, Haze have online 4 player campaign co-op, local two player split screen co-op. I heard Far Cry 3 is pretty good too.

Uncharted 3 has campaign co-op but it's a bit wonky, IMO.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 for a button masher.

Here's a by-no-means comprehensive list of multiplayer co-op games from Wikipedia.

Hope that helps!

Shanna_redwind Thanks. That gives me a few ideas.

I do prefer co-op games, but we're just looking for games that are fun and other people have had good experiences with. We can't do internet games due to a rather poor internet provider.

Shanna_redwind We'll have to try the Resident Evil again. We couldn't seem to catch on to the combat system for some reason and died in the first major battle every time.

Teresa (teresaterrell) Portal 2 is amazing!

sweetPixiesmile | 20 comments Oh! I've always wanted to play Portal 2! And I've yet to finish RE5, lol. Wish they'd make a God of War multi. That would be soooooooo awesome.

I agree on the GOW multi-player. Seems like couch co-op is becoming less and less common :(

sweetPixiesmile | 20 comments LOL couch co-op

Mass Effect 3 is one of my all-time favourites. You can co-op multi there too, but not on campaign.

I have not played ME3. I just finished ME1 and really liked it. I will hopefully get to 2 & 3 soon!

sweetPixiesmile | 20 comments If you get it on PS or XBox you're ok. If you got it on Steam and didn't know (I didn't but I only started playing on Steam after like a 2 year hiatus), EA went off and made their own online gaming platform called "Origin." That's why ME1 and 2 are on Steam but not ME3. You can link console accounts as long as you use the same email address when you sign up for Origin (I caved and bought ME3 because I wanted to play something while listening to my partner watch Downton Abbey, lol)

Shanna_redwind I just got ps3 so we'll have to give that a try. Thanks for the suggestions.

Kirsten (ringwraith10) | 49 comments I know this has very little to do with what you asked for, but I do agree with the above: you should play Little Big Planet (1 or 2). Everyone should experience LBP at least once. :) I also would have recommended Resident Evil 5 -- it's decent for multiplayer.

Otherwise, I can't think of many multiplayer games. :( And I have very few friends on PSN that I can actually play games with (occasionally I play side-by-side games with my brother, but we usually end up just playing fighting games or something because there isn't much else to play).
