Gary Bonn | 34 comments Gary Bonn, author and editor for Firedance Books Ltd, has admitted to having the odd moment of spare time.

He’s offered to do a free edit, as and when he can, on the first 5000 words of members’ novels.

He’s not sure how this will work. If he gets swamped he may have to withdraw for a while. He’ll always give you a deadline – and you can nag him.

Until then...

Up to 5000 words (in English!), any fiction genre. He’ll make it clear if he’s out of his comfort zone – but will struggle on anyway. :)

Health warning!

1) If you've not had a professional edit done before, you may not know what to expect. Gary will be as nit-pickingly pedantic as humanly possible. Pointing out every weakness, ambiguity, inconsistency, structural problem and other error he finds.
He would like us to know that, out of his editorial seat, he’s a nice person and kind to animals... lol.

2) He asks that you send the same piece to other people, editors/informed readers/beta readers etc. You need to know that editorial comment is objective – but only to a point. Editors frequently disagree. Having several people disagree over you work leaves you in control and not the editor.

Contact him directly by PM (He’ll tell you if he's swamped)
