Don't we have a topic for Heart Trouble yet?! Well, that's almost unforgivable. This one is truly a little gem!

:-) It's just a very sweet little morsel.

What I find interesting about it is every element that interested me 20 years ago, still seems of interest now. So either I am stuck in a serious rut, or it's true that after a certain age we just don't change that much.

Richard I really liked this book.
Just like the m/c Ford, I too live on Larrabee St, in West Hollywood. And I recognized Ford's apartment as The Mediterranean Village apartments. I about fell off the treadmill at the 24 Hour Fitness on Santa Monica, when reading this. Shoot-I just had a thought, had I got hurt if I fell off the treadmill I could have gone to Cedars and met a doctor who would love me.
Art imitating life or life imitating art- I get confused.

Fantastic! I love specifically going to find places which are featured in books and imagining the characters there, but to find yourself living the dream (as it were) must feel really odd.

Well, I do take poetic license with most of my locales. Not to mention with the people you're liable to meet there! ;-)

It is such a lovely little gem - comforting, heartwarming, perfect :-)

Late to the party, as usual. Lol. But perusing some unread topics here. I just wanted to comment that the audiobook ...audioshortstory? Is really good. The narrator is perfect, and it’s a great listen late at night when you can’t sleep. Jacob is a very comforting presence. :-)

This is probably my very very favorite Josh short story. There's just something about it. And it's comforting in a certain perfect way. Just like Icecapade.

There is an audiobook? Did it just come out?

No, it's been out awhile. It's in a collection of Josh's shorter works called In Sunshine or in Shadow, which were named after another of my favorite Josh short story/novellas.

Here's a link to it on Audible:

Ah! Thanks. I have that. I guess I better go listen to it! I was wondering what should be next!

Oh, don’t miss out on this collection! I can’t remember the title, but the one with Glen, Montpellier Lieutenant, is another favorite that I listen to a lot!
