What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I read this book maybe five years ago. The subject of the novel lives on a barge in Amsterdam. She befriends an old lady and visits her home. There is some artwork in her house which is valuable. People want to get hold of the painting.,

The novel is set in the present day but also covers Nazi theft of art and also goes back in time to when the painting was created.
