your actual being; who you reall are. For instance, yes, you have a body; you have a heart, a brain, a stomach, hands, feet, etc, etc. I mean, its part of YOU, but its not really your soul. Your soul might reside in your body, but it is its own "thing". Ok, now I'm sounding sorta wierd... WHY DID I POST FIRST?!?!!
Oh well, might as well get it done and rip it off like a band aid...

So, your soul is that "thing" that makes you think "I am who I am, and I will never know what it is like to be someone else and then be able to think about that back in the person i am." It also controls part of the mind- like I said, PART of it. Then, on the other hand, it might control all of it or actually BE part of the mind- since they are both things we know about but can't see or prove that they are reall "there". So basically, it is what makes you YOU. It is the thing inside you that controls how much "good" and "evil" you will have in your heart, do for others and yourself, and have in your life. Because everyone is both good and bad, in at least some way.

I think the soul is like you at it's center. Like no matter where you go, if your dead or alive, it w/ you because your soul is you. Maybe the definition of 'you' is your soul. Here's the dictionary's definition:
