I'm a little challenged-out by doing the TNBBC one...but I'd be happy to moderate the challenge, like as far as posting tasks, keeping track of points, etc.
I will attempt the challenge but I have so much going on right now I am not sure if I will be to participate.
I'm confused with how this all works but I'd be interested. I don't know how much extra reading I could squeeze in but it's all for the fun of it!

Jen, can you help me come up with tasks and point categories?
And anyone else that has any ideas for tasks, please let me know, I'm completely open to suggestions.
I'm thinking point categories can go like this:
5 points for easy tasks - reading one book
10 points for a little more difficult task - reading one book
15 points for an easy task - reading two books (like TNBBC's read two books that start with your initials - I would read a book whose title starts with "S" and another whose title starts with "F")
20 points for a little more difficult task - reading two books
25 points for a task that requires three books to be read
I guess that's good enough. So forward me your suggestions please and we'll try to get this up and going by the weekend.

I gotta do something! LOL! Though, I'm not at work right now as I'm on vacation this week.....does that make me sound a little sad? I didn't have anything planned to do except relaxing. Though, I wish I knew some one that had a pool. What was I thinking moving out of my apartment that had one and into my bf's house that doesn't have one??? :)
Anyway, I liked the idea of the seasonal challenges but I see that the TNBBC member list is in the thousands and while yes, that makes for a lot of good, fun competition, I think it's too many. I like our small little group and I think it will be way more fun to do the challenge with a (way) smaller group.

I love it because I have a ton of books sitting around and this will give me a reason to read them!

They have seasonal challenges that seem like a lot of fun (to me anyway), and a good way to challenge you (well, me) to get through the books on my bookshelf (and in the bottom of my closet).
It looks like each challenge has different point categories (for each task completed) starting at 5 and going up to 30 with a mid-way challenge for 50 points. TNBBC's challenge has many, many tasks and I don't know how they come up with them all but I was thinking, if anyone is interested, we could start something similar in this group.
It obviously doesn't need to be as long as TNBBC's and wouldn't necessarily need to be RDI books only (because I know we have more than just those on our shelves).
Just a thought....any takers? If so, I'd like to ask for help in coming up with the challenges. And I'd like to do the same with the seasonal ones. I know June is closer to being over but I think we could still make a quick summer challenge for June, July & August.
