I do this and people tell me that is weird.

I can't. I have tried before and my head gets all fuzzy! :p

I can if its instrumental, or i'll just start singing the song and not finish the book.

That's the only way I can read! Lol people tell me it's weird..

i do it all the time ;) it doesn't distract me or anything,(i could read through a hurricane) kind of adds more drama to the book if the song fits.

I do and all my friends think I'm crazy because they can't focus on the book and music at the same time

I do it as well, especially when I travel by train. It's impossible to read if you hear everybody else's conversations... And if the songs fit with the book, it's even better

I do. I think it's easier with music but is can read without any music too

I do it just seems more relaxing.

yes My Chemical Romance has so many songs that could fit into any of my books like when I read divergent I think of Welcome to the Black Parade by MCR

Yeah I can. U find it easier to do some intense reading with music playing lol.

I can't do that :( I always find myself focusing on one thing or another

Yes I do this all the time. It's doesn't matter what song, I just think of it as background music and keep reading haha

I usually pop on classical music on Pandora when I'm reading in a crowded place (like Starbucks!). Any music with word just distract me!

I Always do that... It helps me a lot with concentration and focusing... If I'm without music, I feel strange *-*

If I read in the car and my family is playing music I do and then the song is forever linked to the book. For example, I think of Allegiant when I hear the Prism album by Katy Perry

I feel as if I'm not giving my full attention to the book. .. and besides my eyes start to skim over the lines and then I have to reread the whole thing

I listen to music when I read. It helps me concentrate better rather than distracting me... which people find weird.

I have to read with no music because I get distracted an have no idea what is going on in the book.

I have been doing this since 4th grade! Reading with music is my favorite way to read. Finding the right song can make the book so much better.

That's so true, I'll find a song that kinda suits the book and listen to it

Like 'Demons' by Imagine Dragons for the Mortal Instruments! I don't know how you guys think but for me, every time I hear this song it reminds me of TMI, of Jace and Clary <3

IRK I'm a total fangirl lol. Earlier i even read a fan fic. It was actually real cool and I loved it but it just not the same.

Non. I always need silence to read and easily distracted. I kinda hate it because I can't read anywhere I want, always looking for silence to read.

Sometimes I listen to classical music because people are talking and I can't deal with the distractions, so it helps. But complete and utter silence is the dream.

I've been listening to Harry Potter soundtrack recently while reading. I usually don't need music though if I've got a good book!

I used to NEED complete silence to read, but now I like to have music. I'm a huge multitasker and it helps the part of my brain that gets bored while reading.

Absolutely. It's weird, I find silence more distracting.

Yeah same here. Music and reading are my two favourite things so it's doubly awesome to do them both at the same time. When I read and listen at the same time, the music acts like a background noise.
