Keke Edgerton (keke_edgerton) | 15 comments I can't. I have tried before and my head gets all fuzzy! :p

message 3: by abie (new)

abie (abiebowers) I can if its instrumental, or i'll just start singing the song and not finish the book.

message 4: by Eva (new)

Eva (eva_marie17) | 25 comments That's the only way I can read! Lol people tell me it's weird..

message 5: by Rayanna (new)

Rayanna Pinnock (anna_alize) | 50 comments i do it all the time ;) it doesn't distract me or anything,(i could read through a hurricane) kind of adds more drama to the book if the song fits.

message 6: by Naomi (new)

Naomi (booksforever98) | 4 comments I do and all my friends think I'm crazy because they can't focus on the book and music at the same time

message 7: by Noelia (new)

Noelia Alonso I do it as well, especially when I travel by train. It's impossible to read if you hear everybody else's conversations... And if the songs fit with the book, it's even better

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

I do. I think it's easier with music but is can read without any music too

message 9: by Laney (new)

Laney Fri | 32 comments I do it just seems more relaxing.

message 10: by Rhi (new)

Rhi (Typical_rhi) | 2 comments yes My Chemical Romance has so many songs that could fit into any of my books like when I read divergent I think of Welcome to the Black Parade by MCR

message 16: by Alma (new)

Alma | 3 comments I can't focus without music. Hahaha

message 17: by Eleanor (new)

Eleanor | 6 comments only instrumentals

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

I usually pop on classical music on Pandora when I'm reading in a crowded place (like Starbucks!). Any music with word just distract me!

message 19: by Arianna (new)

Arianna I Always do that... It helps me a lot with concentration and focusing... If I'm without music, I feel strange *-*

message 20: by jessa (new)

jessa (jess_herondale) If I read in the car and my family is playing music I do and then the song is forever linked to the book. For example, I think of Allegiant when I hear the Prism album by Katy Perry

message 21: by hiba (new)

hiba (h164) I feel as if I'm not giving my full attention to the book. .. and besides my eyes start to skim over the lines and then I have to reread the whole thing

message 22: by Aimee (new)

Aimee | 3 comments My life summed up!

message 23: by Fari (new)

Fari (nothingbetterthanbooks) I listen to music when I read. It helps me concentrate better rather than distracting me... which people find weird.

message 24: by ange (new)

ange (ange_lane_) I have to read with no music because I get distracted an have no idea what is going on in the book.

message 25: by Lisa (new)

Lisa (lisakrajnc) | 1 comments I tried but it does not really work

message 26: by Sierra (new)

Sierra Engdahl I have been doing this since 4th grade! Reading with music is my favorite way to read. Finding the right song can make the book so much better.

message 27: by DemonHunter (new)

DemonHunter | 99 comments That's so true, I'll find a song that kinda suits the book and listen to it

message 28: by Ninsch_ (new)

Ninsch_ (nindizzle) | 10 comments Like 'Demons' by Imagine Dragons for the Mortal Instruments! I don't know how you guys think but for me, every time I hear this song it reminds me of TMI, of Jace and Clary <3

message 29: by Sage (new)

Sage (shadowhunter_book_lover) | 94 comments Aw. I love that song. And those books. CoHF <3

message 37: by Maulida (new)

Maulida Puteri (maulidaputeri) | 3 comments Non. I always need silence to read and easily distracted. I kinda hate it because I can't read anywhere I want, always looking for silence to read.

message 38: by Katrin (new)

Katrin Velichkova (katebeyondthecovers) | 2 comments Yes but only classical. If it is a song with lyrics I cannot concentrate at reading

message 39: by Yasmin (new)

Yasmin Halliwell Fraser Bower | 8 comments Sometimes I listen to classical music because people are talking and I can't deal with the distractions, so it helps. But complete and utter silence is the dream.

message 40: by Lauren (new)

Lauren Hutto (laurennicolehutto) | 5 comments I've been listening to Harry Potter soundtrack recently while reading. I usually don't need music though if I've got a good book!

message 41: by Abigail (new)

Abigail | 1 comments I used to NEED complete silence to read, but now I like to have music. I'm a huge multitasker and it helps the part of my brain that gets bored while reading.

Brooke VO | 2 comments Absolutely. It's weird, I find silence more distracting.

message 47: by Kitty (new)

Kitty Fox | 5 comments Yeah same here. Music and reading are my two favourite things so it's doubly awesome to do them both at the same time. When I read and listen at the same time, the music acts like a background noise.

message 48: by Kitty (new)

Kitty Fox | 5 comments Violeta wrote: "Mee. I listen to Arctic Monkeys. :)"
