Frederick Hale - One down, because he still receives money from his father, that is living in such a poor situation. It's almost half their income, if I am not wrong.
John Thornton - one up, because he is frigging John Thornton, and he loves Margaret even more after she rejects him, and because there is no Ms. Latimer in the book, and he is faithful to his love the whole book, and because I could least a lot more of reasons here, but I am going to stop now! :)

One up for book Henry Lennox. I really would like to know what was his last meeting with Margaret about, but what he did was selfless and lovely.
